Detective Biography

Augustus von Nassau was born into one of Europe’s oldest and wealthiest German-Swiss families. For generations, the von Nassau family had built its fortune through private banking, railways, shipping, and investments, establishing a respected position among Europe’s financial elite. Augustus was raised with the privileges of wealth, but also with a strong sense of duty and personal responsibility.

Educated in Europe and America, Augustus developed a particular talent for history, law, finance, languages, and human behavior. His understanding of banking and investments proved especially valuable, giving him an unusual ability to recognize fraud, embezzlement, and financial schemes that others overlooked.

After settling in New York, Augustus became increasingly interested in criminal investigations. His family's wealth and connections gave him access to people and places that were normally beyond the reach of an ordinary investigator, while his intelligence, persistence, and discretion allowed him to uncover secrets others preferred to keep hidden.
