Detective Biography
Grace Evans, attorney of law. I've only just been able to maintain my reflex to greet people this way. I had a lot of tough times in the lawyer days. Everybody looked down on me because I was a woman. I was weak, stupid. Or so they thought. Time and again I won cases that seemed impossible through careful study and pretty pursuasion. Of course, being looked down on only gave me more of an advantage on the floor. I spent years carefully honing my ability to sway unsuspecting men my way. I've even had criminals I knew were guilty walk out of the courtroom free. I guess now I'm just making countenance for those days. A dear friend of mine was found dead in an alleyway. When I heard the news, I had come closer to shedding tears than I had in years. But anger overcame my sorrow and I made a vow to hunt down the murderer. It wasn't long before I came face to face with him, Vinny Michaels. Criminal record as long as the racetrack. He would have been behind bars. Should have been, if it wasn't I who defended him in the courtroom only months ago.
I found I had a talent for sleuthing and it is now how I spend my days. A well-found talent, for it is my beat, my drive, to bring justice back to the streets.
