Detective Biography

Isaac had always been a ladies man. Well, for most of his life, that is.

When Isaac was a young man in the late 1940s, his mother and father had forced restrictions on the boy, red-taping him out of social gatherings and intimate friendships. In the ignorance of early childhood, Isaac suspected nothing, but as he grew he began to notice the differences between the social lives of him and his peers. His innocent ignorance soon turned into adolescent skepticism, which in turn morphed into blind teenage rage.

At sixteen, Isaac met a girl named Marie Wilmot, a popular French girl from his school foreign language club (one of the few he was permitted to participate in). He instantly fell into an unexplainable infatuation with the girl. However, the sheltering social micromanagement of Isaac's parents left him intimidated and confused as to what to say to the girl, thus his interaction with Marie-- whom he was quickly falling in love with--never went beyond a nod in the hall or a stare from across the classroom.

After a late-night club meeting at school, several months after his meeting her, Marie took charge. She pulled Isaac aside in the hallway and handed him a slip of paper. She then leaned in and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Read it when you get home," she grinned. Isaac responded with little more than a scowl and a nod.

That night, Isaac opened the paper. Written on cream-white construction paper, in gorgeous eloquent handwriting read:

"Isaac--
My family is moving back to Paris in a few weeks. I've always really liked you, and I want you to call me when I arrive in France. I feel like you and I could really enjoy each other..."

Underneath the letter were seven digits. Isaac, confused, alone, angry, and betrayed by his parents, let out a cry as he tore the paper to shreds.

The next week, Marie was gone.

It didn't take long for Isaac to realize the extent of his foolishness and ignorance. He was never taught how to behave with his peers, and certainly never had experience talking to girls. He felt cheated and abandoned by his own mother and father.

In another fit of teenage rage, Isaac fled his own household. It would be the last time he would ever talk to his parents. He was seventeen years old.

Five years later, Isaac was on top of the world. He was working as executive manager of the nightclub "Wink", located in Brooklyn, New York. His experience as a bartender and server in the club had provided him with the social lifeskills his parents had never taught him. At the age of 22, Isaac was the most persuasive, competitive, and handsomely charming soul in the five Boroughs.

He thought he was going strong. And he was, for a while. Then came the suicides.

Isaac's parents had both committed suicide, on the night of Isaac's 23rd birthday. The suicide note explained that they felt so guilty due to their harsh overprotectiveness. Isaac has devoted his life as a detective
