Detective Biography

Leaper's parents came over to the States during the great Potato Famine in Ireland. Like any good Irish Catholic lad, he decided to become a cop, to right wrongs, catch the bad guys, make a difference.

It wasn't long before Leaper figured out that even though he built tight cases against crooks or caught them redhanded, if they had the dough or the connections, they managed to be walking the very next day.

There was no justice. Only the poor and the unconnected actually went to jail.

That's when some of those "alledged" crooks started falling from the tops of buidings.

The other cops started to wonder about it, since many of them were suspects in Leaper's cases.

Leaper's answer was that they were so afraid of him that they'd rather leap from buildings than face him.

That's how he got the nickname Leaper...

When cops knew someone was guilty they'd ask me to help them on the case. They'd say, I think we got another Leaper.

Anyhow, the brass got tired of the negative publicity (even though crime was going down significantly) and forced him to resign from the force.

So he decided to become a PI, there was less paperwork that way.
