Detective Biography
My Paw-paw Phil had a derby like mine. I would always find him sitting out in the sun, under a tree, reading a good book. He was a frail, old man, which was why I never believed my Paw-paw when he told me that Paw-paw Phil was a ruff and tough guy back in his day.
According to Paw-paw, Phil had seven siblings, most of them boys. He was one of those men that would come up to a random big guy in a bar and hit him. When the guy got up from the ground and asked Phil why he hit him he would reply:
"I like the way you fall. Get up so I can make you fall again."
I never had too many memories of Phil, but one I do remember is when I was three. I would crawl in his lap and put his derby on my head. He would always laugh. I still have that hat to this day.
