Detective Biography

The year was 1941 and I was lucky enough to get a job in the new Cole Porter musical. It was a minor role as a singer but I had aspirations to be the next Broadway sensation.

That all changed when the leading lady Lily Turnley was found strangled in her dressing room. The evidence left at the scene, the murder weapon one silk stocking and some blonde hair neither belonged to the victim. Lily had made her fair share of enemies climbing to the top and I like many others had reason to dislike her.

The hair found at the crime scene made me the number one suspect and I had no choice but to find the real killer. After some detective work I discovered the blonde hair was from a wig and traced that hair piece to the wardrobe lady Mona. I tricked her into a confession and discovered that she was in fact Lily's sister. When I asked her 'why did you do it' she looked me straight in the eye and said 'she missed my birthday three times in a row'.

Since that day I've worked as a detective and traded the bright lights of Broadway for the dim light of street lamps and bars. Just posted off a card while on my way to get some information on my next case... the card says? 'Happy Birthday Sis'. (bt)
