Detective Biography

Christopher Keller knew he wanted to be a detective when he was 11 years old. He had always been a curious boy growing up. Alarmingly so for a boy so young. He was forever spying on neighbors he was certain were really government agents in disguise, digging holes in the garden looking for hidden treasures, and going through the mail of the whole neighborhood trying to uncover the conspiracy of the century.

So when Donny Johnston’s father came in to the school on career’s day to tell them all about detective work and showed them his job, Chris knew beyond a doubt what he was destined to do and never looked back.
Well, maybe he did look back. Kind of. The surge of passion for detective work that was born within the 11 year old got him through college and into the police force. He started off as an optimistic and eager employee hungry for action and desperate to help others. Only it was nowhere near as exciting and noble as Mr. Johnston made out to be. He never told Chris that to be a detective meant a mass amount of meaningless paper work and a whole world of ugly politics and corrupt officials. He was slowly dying inside as more often than not murderers and mass criminals got off without punishment due to legal technicalities and bribes. His bitterness was threatening to consume Chris and he was forced to admit that this wasn’t the life he envisioned for himself.

So one night, he got really comfortable in his dingy little apartment with his faithful liquid friend Jack and considered his options. He either stays in the force and lose his soul to the corruptness of the legal system or break free of this hellish existence and start anew.
The next day, after several cups of coffee and just as much aspirin, Chris marched down to the police station and handed in his badge and resignation.

Two weeks later found Chris starting his first case as private detective thanks to his renounced reputation as a smart and tough detective that can get the job done. And hopefully this time he won’t look back, Ever.
