Detective Biography

I walked the streets of this city, without a place to go, money to eat, or a companion to talk to. A lonely immagrant from Ostroleka, Poland, I was determined to make it in this country of USA. I have heard many wonderful things and had high hopes upon arrival. Now, I realize that things are not as easy as seemed. I often sit in the Tricky Mister until all hours of the night. Hearing the local gossip, the feuds, the friendships.
One night a strange man walk up to me and asked me if I knew anything of his friend murder. Hearing about it through the loose lips of the patrons of the bar, I told him what I know. He offered me a nice reward if I could help him find the killer and needing all the money I could get my hands on, I accepted.
Perhaps I have found my calling...

I started working out of my home for a couple of months, watching the case files stack up and hearing the phone constantly ringing. Realizing that this would not do, I started up Karelek Investigations. Now working out of a skyscraping office building in New York, I am watching the case files stack up and hearing the phone constantly ringing.
At least now I have help, the money to buy a nice bottle of whiskey to unwind and the realization that I will never have a full nights sleep again...
