Mrs M.Zane is a tough old lady; had to be when she was on the other side of the law. No one knows her first name, well maybe one, Rick. She was in love with him and worked for him. He loved her once too until that dame came along. He dropped her like a hot potato for that high class dish. That made Zane a bitter woman, which she is to this day.
After Rick left her she turned to the other side of the law and vowed to put him and the likes of him in the slammer. Hell thah no fury like a woman scorned! When he left on that plane, she knew where he was going; Sleuthville, where he could get lost among the other punks and lowlife.
Too many cigarettes and too much hooch has left her with a voice that would stop the devil, himself, in his tracks. Suspects freeze in their tracks when they hear her speak. Manfred has been trying to help her find Rick in his crystal ball without success so far. Thaddeus is in love with her and does all her alterations for free as well as helping her with cases when he can.
Zane likes to depend only on her own wits but at times she has to ask for help, which irks the dickens out of her.

Now she is excited to meet with her old friend the Ambassador of the Prince of Shangri-la.
He has requested her to help stop the Pirate epidemic that is causing trouble from Shangri-la To Cairo.
These pirates are secretly in cahoots with some shady villians, slippery and stealth.
She will be on their trail.
Just what she needs to add some excitement.
But first a drink and Cigar before on her way, far away from her memories of Rick.
