Lucy grew up in the life of crime as her family had controlled the Spider Mafia for six generations. As a child, she would be seated next to her mother during the Spider's meetings and dealings. Never fully comprehending the real meaning behind these gatherings until she was seven, until Rosemary was rushed in to the house. Hearing the screaming and private doctors talking, young Lucy went to see what was happening, only to have that image burned in her memory forever. Despite Rosemary's wishes, Lucy had sworn to continue the legacy of this family tradition. After hearing such, Don Lacey wasted no time in hiring a private trainer to teach her how to defend herself along with other abilities that would aid her in her "line of work". As time worn on, Don Lacey grew bitter of Rosemary's death and didn't know what to do. He locked himself inside his office and buried himself in work for some mysterious company. Sending Lucy in for other dealings in the spare time. After her first "mission" at the age of twelve, she earned the name "Queen Sarcasm" for her quick wit after being encountered in a heist. Later, it being changed to Queenie after being caught stealing firearms.

As Lucy grew up, she also met up with her lover and soon to be husband... Solidus Obscura. Who opened up a light for her to escape the demanding life of crime and mafia lifestyle to have her defend his company TI with Lucy at the lead. After the two had wed, he didn't want her to get caught up with working, but her stubborness got the best of her as now she worked for the people she never thought she was side with... The side of justice. Being a private eye against Solidus's and her father's wishes.
