If ever a name was appropriate it was this one.
All my life I've been, well kinda lucky and in my line of work you need all the luck you can get, especially when it comes to talking your way out of trouble.
Life as an investigative reporter had its moments, but dealing with all the lowlifes and shady characters life can throw at you was beginning to get me down, and that incident with the bosses wife just tipped the scales that little bit further.
It was time for a change, the kind of change where one life gets traded for another.
Two weeks later the murky streets of London and my old life where far behind me.
Sitting in a downtown New York bar, downing a few shots and deciding on how to make a living, I saw the answer in front of me.
DETECTIVE WANTED!
The ad in the paper said.
This was the break I was looking for. The start of a new life.
Sure, I was gonna be dealing with shady characters all day, but the way i saw it though. It was the only thing i was used to.
