I find waiting for food to cook to be the most boring thing imaginable. Invariably I'll find something far more interesting with which to occupy myself, until the smell of burning brings me running.

Cleaning the burnt foodstuffs off the pan comes a close second. Although the intermingled feelings of frustration and annoyance raise it above the true boredom threshold.

bumpage

I feel you, Geddes, on the whole 'waiting for food' thing. Screw that whole "a watched pot never boils" biz-niss. They totally boil.

I'm gonna say waiting for food to be delivered, with waiting in line at ANY government office as a close second.

nice dredging of the Boards murky depths...

school concerts... I remember sitting through a 3hour Eisteddfodd waiting for a friend to sing, cursing those fateful ill-considered words "Sure I'll come along" we often say never expecting to be taken up on the offer.

The ONLY saving grace I remember was that a kid in one of the junior orchestral pieces obviously had a reed split in his clarinet, coz it was like duck hunting season as he honked out some tune by a long dead Italian.

I swear I thought a flight of geese were gonna come swooping in over the heads of the audience. :D

But that was only 5 minutes out of 3 hours of BORING!

How about waiting for server flip when you have no cases left, and deciding to go into SC and finding all night consists of double and triple posts about absolutely NOTHING....
