I figured that posting on these boards was kind of like giving speeches. Although I never seem to receive an honorarium...and I thought the high profile cases might be the treasure hunts...as to having other agents work for you, gumshoes are notorious mavericks who like to be their own bosses. At least, this is what I have noticed in my career here. Either that, or they stop showing up for work! Still, I've had a few good "employees" in my time, so I suppose I can't argue that point too much.
