Hello there. I haven't totally made up my mind about this, nor have my agency members. But I just want to evaluate potential interest in this, before making a decision to do this or not. Being A) let part of TAFKADD continue under someone else, B) keep going as is, and let TAFKADD run out of funds until it has died. :)

Would someone be interested in running TAFKADD?
1. We currently have 7, perhaps 6 members that hardly ever play (including my double freelancermountaineer.) Which won't change. We don't want them ever to get fired. We use TAFKADD as a social play ground. There are 2 members that you can chose to let go, if you want to.
2. You can run TAFKADD as you want, but in spirit of what TAFKADD stands for.
A) A fun place, B) No pressure, friendly, but active place, C) That does not believe in Sattelites of other agency, agent rotation or exchange of agents. D) One that will continue to have a reputation of honesty and being nice.
3. Don't mind starting as agent, to see if our relationship works, and then be promoted fast. Even as an agent, you will be allowed to run the agency as you want. Unless I jump in, if I feel the name of the agency or what it stands for ends up being tarnished. Also I want to have say in promotions of others at first, as I fear theft etc.

We are looking for a mature person both as Sleuth detective and real life person. Someone who knows this community and game backwards and forwards. Someone who has most contacts, and most skills. Has a lot of previous agency experience. Has an excellent name in the Sleuth community. Has been around for a long time. And is preferably someone I know and respect.

One major condition in light of this. That your current director is aware, and approves!!!!! You must be able to leave your current agency without complications, bad blood etc.

I did not want to approach any of my friends directly. As I did not want to make it seem, as trying to steal people.

I hope you are back permanently. A lot of the old names are still around, most of which less active then before. There is however an influx on new people that have joined the last 7 months, many of which really cool people.

Still not sure whether it will be permanent, but thought my holidays would be a perfect time to start checking in once more..and as before.. it's getting addictive again!

jstkdn, that's a big resposibility. I'm already a director and we don't know each other well.

It is a big responsibility, hence why I won't make the decision to handover the agency over night.

What would the duties of being such a Director be?
I mean, the policies are made, the people are choosen, the direction of the agency is determined. What would this new director do?

Maybe I'm worong, that why I'm asking. However, it seems like you get to drive the car, if only you drive a certian speed to a predesignated place and if you drive it the way the passengers want you to.

Long Blabbing-short.
What would the new director be able to do?

Don't get me wrong. I (Reverend not P. Rockwell) am tempted just for the chance to socialize and get to know you guys more. But it would be good to let the applicant know what he/she would be doing.

There are 6-7 members that can not be fired, can not be forced to do anything but socialize. I probably help on some days with treasure hunts, maybe some of the others too. The reason why I am saying 6 or 7, is because we have one director that completely disappeared out of sight and we don't know if she will surface or not. Those members can not be forced to do anything, or abide by any new policies (other then not stealing cash, or equipment, or do anything with the finances.)

The only thing in the beginning I want to make sure off 1) that the agency is not robbed blind, 2) that the agency keeps playing by the ethics we have set for ourselves (i.e. nothing that involves another agency or requires people to move in and out of the agency.) 3) be nice and not run the place military style. 4) Also I don't like people being forced to give up passwords, that is on a volunteer basis.

Once I see that everything is going OK. It is up to the new director what he wants to do with the the empty half of the agency. Hiring, firing. Set new policies. Rebuild the locker if he or she wants to (I only ask for 1 full set of smart clothes to remain.) Basically run the place. Running the hunts. Whatever.

The policies in particular well be very telling to me, if the agency will continue in the spirit of what it once was.

This is why i want the person to first start as officer if it is someone that i can have a few people I know vouch for to be trustworthy. Or agent (I will help with invites, until this person is promoted to officer and director), if it is someone I can not get references for to be trustworthy from someone I know better.

If the person before deciding wants to talk to me over MSN, that would be awesome. Or see our (old) policies to see how we ran the place, that's fine too. Or just join as a rookie to browse around and then leave, fine too.
