Oh the mystery of "The King of Pop!" The verdict is in & will be revealed at 4PM. Don't you know that Michael is nerveous, because his life is hanging in the balance. I know that I'm nerveous and it has nothing to do with me, except I've admired his talents, just not his life-style. I started this thread, thinking that some would like to share their feelings here about it. Oh well, the world shall soon know. As Texan just shared, this could be Micheal final walk in freedom, as he walks into the courthouse holding him umbrella. One thing about it, there won't be an umbrella needed in prison...ouch.

(Though not necisarily put in jail.)
(Though definitely kept away from children, because of being a BAD role model.)

hehehehe....that was so funny jstkdn. I could just hear Michael's voice as I read your message aloud to Texan, who started laughing along with me. I was in tears by the time I finsihed it...lol. You're hilarious, but made a good point. You asked what I'd think of you? Just what I've thought about Michael, and that is he looks like a freak. He's had so many plastic surgeries on his face, that I'm afraid when he's singing under the hot lights overhead, that they'll melt his face. Seriously, I've wondered. Anyway, I don't mean to make fun of him, but I agree that his actions are bizzare. Also, why would he want to change his facial features so drastically, including Janet, and Latoy? Are they ashamed to look black? I wondered what his parents thinks about them doing this? I told Texan today that this would be a slap in my face, if my children had all their features changed so they didn't favor me. Oh well, who knows why he does what he does.

I don't know if Michael Jackson is guilty or not, but I hope that he isn't because he is back out there and if he is, someone else is going to get hurt.
I know that if/when I have kids as a parent I would never let them over there. What parent could take such a chance that their child could be hurt. Maybe since it was such a public trial parents will be more aware and not just in awe of a celebrity wanting to spend time with their kid.

I don't understand how anyone can definitely say whether or not Michael Jackson is guilty or innocent. I certainly don't understand the fans that have paraded with banners proclaiming his innocence - how could they possibly know?

Michael Jackson is an eccentric whose behaviour, at the very least, runs not only against what most people consider normal but also what most consider acceptable. If he is innocent, I think he has brought a lot of this on himself by his bizarre behaviour which obviously leaves him open to not only speculation but also allegations.

Unfortunately, I don't see this as a victory or testament to the effectiveness of the judicial system. All the verdict means is that there was reasonable doubt in the minds of the jurors regarding the veracity of the allegations, and therefore they had to find him 'not guilty'.

Sadly, I think this case simply highlights the difficulty in proving or disproving an allegation of child abuse. Unless there is clear physical evidence, witnesses to the act of abuse or a confession on the apart of the abuser, it usually comes down to who a jury believes - the word of one against another. Under such circumstances, it's virtually impossible to really ever find out the truth about what happened.

Like some said earlier, if he's innocent, I'm glad he's been declared so. If he's guilty, then it's a frightening prospect that such a revered figure is be loose to continue whatever it is he's been doing. However, I don't think any of us can really know either way.

It could be that a lot of people have seen the transcripts of the trial. I did not follow this trial. But I'd be willing to burn myself at the stake, that someone other then OJ Simpson killed Nicole Brown-Simpson. Which is a trial I did follow.

In the messages posted here I am rather confused. Some people without a doubt in here say he is guilty, others say he is not. This could indicate that reasonable doubt is in fact the case.

Overall I am quite torn about the legal ramfications of legal doubt. The lawyer in me says, legal doubt is a way to protect us from false prosecution and the goverment. As a human, I have some issues with it. Sure...it is at all possible that even though the guys finger prints were on the girls neck. It can of course be that an alien came down from space, with gloves on, to strangle the girl as well.

What I like to know more about from the Americans in here. And particularly speaking to those Americans that have seen the court transcripts and evidence on TV or on paper. Why makes you think he is innocent or guilty?

The Michael Jackson fans, before the trial were already en masse protesting that their Michael was innocent. I thought that was rediculous. The evidence had not even been presented yet. Just because he was Michael Jackson, he could do nothing wrong. I do not condone hero worship of that sort, with emotion, instead of objectivity. Most genocidal dictators, if not all, had the same type of back up from a crowd.

So anyone that can give me more details in terms of what was presented at the trial, pleading for or against? I'd be interested to know. I mean...should I turn the radio off when a Michael Jackson song is on, or not.

I also would like to know what is going to happen next. Is Michael Jackson going to turn in to more of a freak? Is he seeking the press? Will he appear on Diane Sawyer or something like that? I doubt that Oprah will invite him.

Daru..I never thought that when u replied, it was because of my post or anything :) We all have our opinions and I respect every opinion. :)

The courts say he is not guilty but, my gut instinct says he really IS guilty. That is great he loves children but he loves only boys, and allows them to sleep in his bed, that is way over the line, of just simply loving children. That isn't NORMAL behavior. He is just sick...and a total freak! My opinion :) I think he is trying to look like Peter Pan. I heard something on that. If you look at a picture of Peter Pan,and look at Michael....you do see a resemblance. The name of his ranch ,had something to do with Peter Pan. I havent watched it in awhile, so cant remember exactly what lol but something was said, that he was trying to look like peter pan. He's done a good job at it :)

Hopefully after this situation, his career dwindles. I dont like him, never have. Altho I did like to watch him dance :) That's about it tho! hehe
