Are all physical evidence clues real? That is, if I find a straight hair and a heavy footprint and a right handed threatening letter (assuming I was lucky enough to have all those skills;p) would I be safe in assuming that my suspect is heavy, right handed and straight haired?

If not, is it more likely that two of the clues would be the villain's, and one a herring, or the other way round?

I've not yet found a clue which is definatly bogus, but perhaps I've not looked hard enough.

Thanks:)

Art,

Only one piece of physical evidence will belong to the guilty party. The rest will belong to suspects with valid alibis.

There are always 2 eyewitnesses that will see the guilty party, and yes, there will also always be one liar in the crowd that will say they saw someone with a cleared alibi at the scene.

PE+Fake/"none of your busineess" Alibi=guilty
WE+Fake/"none of your business" Alibi=guilty
2 WE = guilty

PE=Physical Evidence WE=Witness Evidence

Not getting an alibi is not the same as a "none of your business" response. So if the suspect clams before you can get an answer to the question you will need to have 2 eyewitnesses to be certain you have found the murderer.

Makensie, girl, lay off the caffeine just a touch! :) I know you are still recovering from the whole Triffad kidnapping scandal, but relax. :)

Thank you:) That really clears things up, but makes me wish that I'd specialised a little more and had taken advanced level thread and footprints before getting hair analysis of any standard - would've made it a little less confusing;) No matter, I'm sure given a little more time I can rectify that..

I do think its a little odd that the red herring PE comes from alibi'd suspects - especially with bloody footprints - how did they get down there?! One of those realism vs playability balances, no doubt;p

Sometimes the footprints could be from the person who found the body, or other friends relatives who turned up before the police. The same goes for the other PE, in most instances, particularly in the time that this game is set, the additional PE is true to life.
