I know we always show Ben and Sunny the greatest of appreciation when something new is implemented. However, I just wanted to send some hail to them, as a seperate message from a new addition.

To me it is amazing, how a simple bored afternoon, this game has started. I never thought, I actually arrived in a community. I pretty much stuck to myself. The message boards scared me, as they seem to be dominated by people that to me seemed to know everybody. Kitten, fat chuck, Nagasong, DaRu and others.

Most days I didn't even look at the message board. Until I started hanging out with the people in my agency, and then strangers started to message me.

Now that I have stopped playing the game. I could not leave sleuth, as it is no longer about the game for me.

I had a lot of entertainment here. Hanging out with a group of great people. Meeting more and more people.

Particularly my friendship with detective Smart Ass, whom I met in real life in March. I view as something that will last for a very long time to come. She is truly a fantastic woman. Whom invited me in to her home, and life. There is always some apprehension meeting people from the internet. But her warm heart, not only invited me in to her home, but trusted me with sharing the lives of her husband and her kids. Considering the number of scary people around on the internet. To me this is no small thing.

Sleuth has become not a place to play a game. But kind of like the local pub around the corner. Where I go, take my coat off....and everybody knows your name (enter the rest of the cheers theme.) The pub regulars always there to entertain me. Have a few beers with.

Without getting too mushy. I enjoy the company of this community immensely.

Sunny and Ben....thank you!

I discovered MSN messenger through the site!

I have a phone phobia and so unless I go see people, I don't contact them much and therefore am usually short of friends...

Since finding the game and getting over the intial shock of 7 PM's asking to join an agency (the very idea terrified me) I hesitantly joined one and discovered my new social life!

I now spend far too much time online reading the boards and plucking up the courage to post. And the two people I speak to most (apart from my husband, of course!) live on two separate continents! I would like to meet up with them one day, as I find them so much fun to talk to.

The great thing about Sleuth is that it transcends race, gender, age, everything. I can talk to people that I would never approach in RL. Although, the point of the game is playing, and I need that common ground to start with!

Thank you Sunny and Ben for providing the background to meeting a great bunch of people!

When I first joined Sleuth..I had no idea that it one day (like now) would be something more than just playing a game and solving cases.

It actually still amazes me on how a game this big, stays so decent and just fun loving!

The agency I am in, I just feel like home..and enjoy talking to people within the agency...especially Ms Cevasco! Im in the United States, and she is from Swedan? (she will kill me if i got that wrong and cant remember where she said she was from haha) Anyways, we formed a true friendship, and sometime spend more time talking to her than actually "working" lol

Then I skipped over to the City Hall message boards and at first, I just would read what everyone was talking about, still a bit shy to participate. Then one day, Im like oh heck with it..Im just going to start going along with everyone because they seem very nice! So ever since I got over my phobia, I've been blabbering on the message board.

I think it is wonderful how accepting everyone is here!

As well as the game itself, I truly TRULY enjoy everyone here....as jstkd says its like coming to the pub, where everyone knows your name. What a comfortable feeling :)

So I thank you as well Ben and Sunny for creating this game..it is the best game I've ever played, with the best people playing! :) A whole new way and BETTER way, to meet people on the internet!!

Thanks!

oh and as for how it changed me? It made me into a person who just doesnt care about house work, laundry, taking time to cook something to eat, watching tv, etc .....why? because what could possibly be more important than SLEUTH? LOL ;) I need to go to Sleuthaholic Anonymous. *raising hand* "Hello. Myname is Makensie Brewer...umm wait, thats not my real name...and I am a Sleuth addict and I dont want to be here because I dont have a problem really, I justdont want to leave my house because I will miss something on the message boards or I have people I have to interview...and you see, I have to go right NOW because a client needs me! Thanks" *running out of Sleuthaholic building* :/

Since you care about the community, and not about your own house work and laundry.....why don't you come over to my house do it for me. :)

You can make free stop overs in Amsterdam for a few days on your way to Denmark. I bet that Ms Cevasko will be telling me "taksemike".....or however you spell it.

Aside from being able to say that phonetically. I can say Ja er kat (ja er coat?)....lets just keep between me and Miss Cavasko what that actually means. :) Otherwise Makensie will start rubbing THAT one in.

We love you Makensie!! (Well at least I do.)

I came here quite a while ago. I had AVN in my hips (look it up lol). I had a hip replacement in my left hip and was recovering. I love problem solving puzzles and found this site. I was green as green could be, but DaRu asked me to join Chicago Dect. Agncy. I joined and then as I learned, DaRu said she was going to form her own agency. I asked her if I could go with her and all of a sudden Iwas a director and I had met one of the best friends of my life.
Time and trials have seperated us but we are still the closest of friends. It's hard to reason how you can become so close to a total stranger thousands of miles away, but it happens!!
In March I had my right hip replaced and if it were not for this site, I would have gone nuts!! I owned my own house cleaning business before my hips failed me, so you can imagine how sitting still was just driving me crazy.
I thank you, Ben and Sunny. I apologize to you for when I got so angry that I sent you angry messages (maybe the pain?). I enjoy myself here. I love being a director and a mentor. Thanks!!

When I started playing Sleuth I was a lonely tired chemical analyst whose shift pattern had made it impossible for him to have a normal life. Propped up with "Happy" pills to keep myself in work and off welfare.
Now I have new friends, new interests and have cut my pill consumption by 75%.
Sleuth has become a second family for me and given me a new direction.
