I found Sleuth almost by accident through a link from another game site (much inferior site, i might add) Glad I decided to try it out though! :D

"something about the nature of the kind of person who plays this kind of game alot"...
Oh Violet, now I'm *begging* you to elaborate. Please tell the group your preconceived notions about us by virtue of our singular commonality.
Also, I only have a 160 IQ... so I didn't catch the "contextual" relevance of the Oppenheimer at Los Alamos reference as it pertains to either humor or message boards.
Say what you want about the forum; it's an inanimate object. But this is the only time I will caution you to mind your tongue about the community at large.

<reads detective violet's mind>
What can I say... Quick lets alienate another huge group of people by questioning their intelligence for enjoying a perfectly legal activity. That will increase my self esteem and get my point across.
<end of mind reading>
Well. I think that tells us all we need to know about detective violet's agenda.

Well, Violet, I never claimed to be smart, but when you make fun of someone's intelligence, proper spelling and grammar go a long way.....

To get this back on topic and with a way that I doubt many other people will have used - I was Googling for some help with my Math homework. Stumbled across the blog of a fellow grad student who had some info I needed. In his blog, he mentioned Sleuth. It sounded cool so I came and checked it out. I'm not sure if I will ever finish my degree now.

I am a huge fan of Nancy Drew computer games, and I was on the HerInteractive site and they had a link, and I thought "oh cool!". Now I'm hooked, although I have gone through about three characters because I forgot my login info. :(
