I'm not sure if this should go on the typo board or here, but...

I'm doing a favor for the Shoemaker right now. I only have one suspect and when I ask him if he suspects anyone else, he clams up. I don't have any of the correct skills to make him talk and I can't bribe him. He also has a real alibi. Should I quit the case or what?

The same thing happened to me in my second favour case. I talked to the waitress and she told me [another suspect] thinks she knows who did the murder. I was able to get more suspects from that and went on to solve the case.

I'd only asked two questions of the clammed up suspect too.

Yep, people clam up faster in harder cases. Focus on all the levels of Sweet Talking (suspects) & Rule Bending (townspeople) if you are charming or Interrogation (suspects) & Intimidation (townspeople) if you are tough. That plus the suggestions above will help when you get stuck in favors like this.

Another basic thing is to ask suspects about others with motives FIRST, until your suspect list is complete.
