I'm just starting in this and am absolutely loving it! Any tips for a starter? How can I get higher skill points?

Welcome! This is a great game. For each case you solve you get some skill points. The higher your experience level is, the fewer skill points you get for easier levels. So if you work a Hard right now you might get 3 or 4 skill points. But if you work an Easy in a few days, you might not get any skill points. I hope that made sense.

another tip... when buying skills, save up your points and buy the big ones first. I am working for one that will cost me 12 and it is taking FOREVER! :)

Good point Elsey. I suggest the Research skill. It helps a lot.

you don't always find something about someone

Actually, if you don't find something, then you are missing a suspect.

james the best thing u could do with reserch is to check it after every new suspect u got. then u know who NOT to ask about alibi.
u always find some1 with the reserch so keep on looking for names till u get 1.
anyway there is fixed amount of suspects per level so u can always count them and know if u miss any.
the amount of false vs. true alibis is also fixed so if u count that u will disscover u dont need to check all the alibis. that will save u questions with important witnesses :)
