i had the skill and it still says i have it but it no longer works. how come?

Get great at Cosa, and buy for cheap a tommy gun, zoot suit for tough. Or a shortwave wristwatch for smarts.

Also Lucy sometimes sells a studden bracelet, also gives a lot of tough. It is a cheap steal too.

Don't go to Lucy to get stuff unless you have quite a bit of money. Most of the good gear starts at about 15K, although occasionally there are ok things for 3K or 6K. But there's no guarantee (unless you want a flapper dress) that you will find any particular thing on the day you go and then you have kissed $500 goodbye for a night of cool jazz.

skills are based on having the right equipment and also a bit of luck. So even if u dress smart your hand writing skill wont always work. that the luck part.

i wouldn't spend $$ to get smarts equipment unless u r loaded. it is ver expensive and u can get good stuff by doing favors.

Yet again. Today, I have gotten the fourth beret. I am going to go out and purchase a real beret so I can burn the damn thing.

What is it with that? Every day I look forward to the favor's, expecting something good. All I get are F$%^ING berets! I bet you if I chose to be charming, all I would get are tough gifts.

Favor's are useless.

Had to spend a total of $1800 today to ensure I solved my cases. I entirely blame the favor's on this.

If this was the real world, I would burn down my contacts business right about now.

The favors are usefull. You sell the berets and make money, and you can't get your second contact without doing favors.

Jake - when u start getting hard favors the equipment gets better. then later it goes to really hard and it gets even better..
