Sleuthville's Pet Control has noticed that a particular pet is being neglected. The SPC is preparing to intervene to make sure it receives the attention it is due. ;-)

Yes, I had noticed this too, Emer. I'm not sure at what point the need for Dorian's medication will kick in. But it is rather worrying to see a pet whose little life "could be better, could be worse : (

I knew we'd have neglected pets, but I figured it would take at least 2 months. :(

...does this mean I have to keep playing furores to care for a pet? :'(

I used to love them, but have come to loathe them in recent weeks.

It's my understanding that you can pay for the upkeep of your pet. Which is awesome as I wouldn't want to depend on brass rings the whole time.

No. Once you get your pet you can stop doing the furores. I'm not sure why people are continuing to compete after they get their pet though. Maybe there's something I don't know. But I've benched Autumnsprings. She won't be competing anymore. Hopefully the others with pets will do the same and let those who don't have pets have a better shot.

You do have to feed and groom them though. But that just means a trip to the wwiter/waitress and barber.

The more people in a Furore, the higher the number of brass rings available for that round. This helps those still trying to get their pets. Also, Dorian did say there will come a day that our pets will be sick and brass rings will be needed to secure the proper medicine.

That aside, I will continue playing the Furores because I love the competition and the interaction the Furores have brought to Sleuth. The full ones are the most fun. :D

That pretty much sums it up, miss snopes. Furores are fun to take part in. It's not all about brass rings. - though yes, I think we're going to need them some day.

Furores are a different feature of the game and call on different skills. I tend to do fewer than I used to but still really enjoy taking part : )

And now we know what a grown-up parrot looks like!

I hope she's being a big help on your cases, Autumn ; )
