Sleuth had its commercial launch in April of 2004. It is hard to believe Sleuth Noir is 13 years old. It seems like only yesterday that I started playing. There are lots of memories to share and fun times to remember.

For all of you who are new to the game, or are an old timer like myself and forget how sleuth came about you really should read an interview JoJo had with Ben. noir.playsleuth.com/map/city/post.spy?id=8698

JoJo, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. He was one of many players who contributed to sleuth back in the early years. cfm is another player that was always playing when I first joined the sleuth community. She had a reputation for being our historical archeologist, yep, she dug up the old interesting post for our enjoyment and enlightenment.
One player I remember from from then is DaRue. Now I never talked to this player, but her post on the message boards were always so much fun to read she left a lasting impression.
My first agency was the Underground, it was one of the very first agencies in the game, along with Fat Kitten Detective Agency, Mojo, and the number one ranked agency was Starsky and Hutch. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they were not playing much back in October, 2005 when I started playing. They are still on the agency high score list.

So if you have something you remember and want to share, post it here. Or if you ever wondered what all the talk about ponies means? Ask S.S.
What about the Annual AVH tourney. Ever wonder how that came about? There is a story there boys and girls.

Happy Reminiscing.

I was in Fat Kitten! :D

I *think* it was my first agency. I've been in so many, lol.

I miss cfm. And Remington. And Reda, lilangel, and so many more. Including Jojo. He was definitely a character.

And I remember that for the longest time I thought jstkdn was a guy!

I guess I'm the archeologist now. I'm usually able to find posts on the boards. But it will always be cfm's office.

Moonshh! So many players I miss. I've always wondered what happened with Emerald Drew. She was very sick IIRC. I believe she was terminal. :( I think of her quite a bit.

I also miss sleuthtips.com. :(

Anyway, I remember when I "met" jroepel on here. Then when I actually met him. He even made a post about it. Then he moved out. And the rest is history. :D

Here's his post: http://noir.playsleuth.com/map/cityhall/post.spy?id=18313

And can I say I really miss the directors' lounge.
Although I certainly don't miss the reason it was created. Damn twerbers and drewbies.

*sighs and wipes away a happy tear that escaped*

And I remember having to wait for jstkdn to upload new profile pics! That drove me crazy, lol.

Frantically hitting F5 to see if the expansion was up yet. Then everyone working together to try to figure out the poem. I can't remember who was first through. Probably Jojo.

I miss sleuth tips too! That was my second most accessed page when I first started playing.

I had forgotten about the directors' lounge.

It won't surprise anyone to know that in "Survivor Sleuthville", where the goal was to outwit, outplay & outlast other survivors, Riza Hawkeye took the rest of us to the cleaners. ;) Here's how that played out:

Awww soo many memories.

Remember Jojo's flashing neon pink sign?

I remember when there was no bar chat and we had to use an off site chat room to talk..

The night of the Shangri la expansion was awesome although curse that poem and door :D

I remember when poor CFM was the only editor too.

I miss my original directors from Eye Spy, being in their agency was awesome and it's down to them that I learnt so much about Sleuth.

And what about the countless friendships and relationships/marriages that have happened because of Sleuth :D

I remember the first someone asked me if I would join an agency how I was thinking it over and over again. That person (jwonie) retired a long time ago and hasn't been around ever since.

I also remember all the players that joined The Firm once and from how many different parts of the world they came like kram from Australia, Sheerluck Holmes from Britain, vitaminwater from Bulgaria or Lady Hochiko from Singapore.

I was around when Shangri La and Cairo came to fruition and we could chase arch villains around the world. And how busy Sleuth was back in those days (2006-2007). And how young I was then and how old I am now :)

I remember joining in around 2007 and then quitting because I couldn't upgrade so I didn't last very long! It was a pleasant surprise to see the site still alive. I was like .. what was that site I played for a few days called? Detective? Sleuth? Part of me wishes I stuck with it even as an unsubscribed player because look at how long sleuth has lasted and how everyone knows each other! Feels like a good sense of community here.

I remember how busy sleuth was back then Badass. It was so busy the server slowed to a crawl. Solving a case took forever if you were lucky enough not to get kicked off altogether.

I wonder how many couples actually, came about because of sleuth? I know of 5 couples that sleuth brought together.

What about ask Shady, that was always an enjoyable read. We haven't heard from the man in a long time.
