Hello everyone. It's been some time since we've had a game of Resistance, so I'll be hosting one (without story) for everyone to enjoy. If you've never played before, feel free to jump right into the world of uncertainty and lies. I promise lots of fun. :)

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

As I've stated, and as Lou has acknowledged, I vote NO to this team.

It'd be great if I'm wrong about Cathy, but she is by far the most likely person to be a spy in that line up. We can not afford to give the spies another win, even if it confirms Cathy in the process.

I'm not sure how I'll vote this team for now. As for using the powet card on me, please do. Nothing to hide here. Well, unless it happens like last time when Yeti lied about me being spy. Heh. Yeah,. I'm with the good guys this tjme. I think I was only spy once and I sucked at it :))

(I was pretty sure I'd be back sooner; better late than never?)

Otherwise I would have given somebody else that card and asked them to reveal their allegiance to me (probably DW or Yeti, because then I'd almost certainly have known the other's allegiance too - if the person that I'd checked on was Resistance, I'd make sure they were on every team even if it meant that I wasn't because there's only a 1 in 3 chance they could be a spy even from the point of view of a normal Resistance player then).

In response to jintan's post [Jan-27-2017 19:20], I don't know if Cathy's "order of discovery" disclaimer even applied to her spies list, but even if it did, I suppose that since she pegged me as Resistance last, putting Sindy down for spy also came towards the end.

(I am so sorry, I did forget to vote after my "please vote NO" spiel, so yeah...thank god it was a NO. :/)

To jintan's post [Jan-28-2017 03:20]: I had to reveal my allegiance to somebody as leader, and I thought the next leader was a better choice than a random one. At the very least, I know she's a spy now, though the result did embroil me in slightly more controversy than I was prepared to take on...

Sindy, we both know you muddied the waters when it came to what I'd said; my "poor resistance player" had the right idea before you did your little about-face on your own team.

Well, hello, Bela!

I've just finished sorting through 100s of pages of medical records and still have 25 depo exhibits to put together so I can't take the time to analyze your posts but I just have one question for you.

If you *know* I'm a spy why did you wait to vote? Why didn't you just vote while you were posting your last post? If I was playing and saw a team coming up with a member whom I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt was a spy I wouldn't wait. I would vote right away so it was done and I didn't have to worry about it.

I am really enjoying the game right now. Because the mission is too delicate and we are too deep in the game. Do you agree if the person in the mission forgot to vote and he is a resistance player, The Announcer can say his vote is randomized but in reality he just automatically makes a SUCCESS vote for him. But if a spy forgot to vote, his vote is really randomized. So the game won't be disrupted?

Okay, I know Lou said that the people he's left off the team are not necessarily people he suspects, but I'm still uncertain whether this team is clean; every single one of the remaining Resistance players would have to be on it since I'm not. I think I'm okay with Lou and Autumn; jintan and Cathy, I'm not sure about. jintan AND Cathy, I'm definitely not sure about...it feels like there are too many Resistance players running around. I've voted NO to this team, but if it does go through, we still have the option of vetoing it (if something looks fishy, and if DW's on our side) or going through with it and me using my SPOTLIGHT card if needed. Who does everybody suggest we use it on? It's pretty early in the game (we've only gone on one mission; though it feels lie it's been going on a lot longer than :P) so the people on the team are very disconnected - there seems to be very little room for deductions from whatever we do manage to find out.

That said, we need to pick a good team that a majority will agree to (get the arguing out of the way now, while we're waiting for voting results to come out anyway).

I think that if a spy gets on the next team, s/he will sabotage it because the 2-0 lead would be too good to pass up, and they'll have a pretty good shot at getting a spy on the last mission (we'd need to get all five Resistance players right) - like jintan said, it'll be really tight.

Sindy, why would you want to analyze my posts; either way? :))
I was pretty sure I'd voted NO to your team; I didn't even check if I had, I was just sure I had. An oopsie on my part, yes, but I promise, if I was as devious as you've decided I am, I would have just said YES. :D

And yes, jintan, that's what would happen if somebody forgot to register their mission vote. Ooh :D

If you are resistance, you know this team is as good as it's going to get so we need to vote it through and get to the next mission so we can get some new power cards in play and suss out the truth. The spies are just hoping they can create enough confusion to get this mission to the 4th - 5th round (can't remember which it is) and it's an automatic win.

And you're absolutely right, Bela. I don't need to analyze your threads. The truth will come out during the next mission, and I can't wait to say I TOLD YOU SO!

Bella, I understand you hesitation and logic, there's just no way to conclusively get a 100% Team of resistance players, not with the information we currently have available to us, I'll admit it's a risk, I would suggest you save the card to use later, to eliminate one of our ongoing questions, I don't think using it on someone on this team will be as effective as if we use it later, not unless we got very lucky and outed a spy on a blind draw, but it's your card and I trust your judgement so do as you think best.

Also Miss Autumm is up next to propose the next team, so the way I see it, we are in pretty good shape as far as selecting the next team.
