Hello everyone. It's been some time since we've had a game of Resistance, so I'll be hosting one (without story) for everyone to enjoy. If you've never played before, feel free to jump right into the world of uncertainty and lies. I promise lots of fun. :)

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

Well, obviously SOMEONE sabotaged the first mission. I would think if she was resistance she would have used it on your or Devi to determine which one of you sabotaged it. But, since she didn't use it, I think that speaks volumes.

Or maybe I'm misunderstanding how IN THE SPOTLIGHT works.

Wait, Jintan, are you saying that you talked about this game with another player outside of the Message Baord?

I don't think that cards work backwards for previous missions.

Who I think could be the three spies:

1- Yeti. Said he was a spy, accused me of being a spy, acted suspiciously, didn't make sense, and backed up the failed mission.
2- Bela or Sindy. It's obvious that one of them is a spy.
3- jintan or autumnsprings. Either autumn really told jintan she was a spy, or jintan has decided to try to sell her to us as a spy because he is the spy. jintan may be bonkers, but he's not an idiot.

end of transmission

Okay, well I guess that would explain why no one else was picking up on that detail. Thanks, Cathy.

BUT I REPEAT: JINTAN, ARE YOU SAYING THAT YOU TALKED ABOUT THIS GAME WITH ANOTHER PLAYER OUTSIDE OF THE MESSAGE BOARDS?

Sindy please! I was trying to make her talk since we need everyone to talk something even just 1 in every topic we have! I was even trying to fish for her side.

I deserve benefit of the doubt, don't I?

Just as much as I trust everyone is not talking about this game outside this thread, I really hope everyone trust me too.

jintan, how come you keep saying that you can't tell for sure who anyone is because of lack of live tells, and yet at the same time you keep insisting that you are sure that Yeti is resistance?

I didn't "accuse" you of being a spy, Cathy, I said you were my #1 player most likely to be a spy for the way you and no other have been doggedly going after me with no reason to do so. A resistance player sees I say that I'm a spy, they go, "Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. It tells me as much as if he were to declare himself resistance". It's a game of misinformation after all. You though see I say I'm a spy and you treat it as the gospel truth, with no way the information coming out of my mouth could be faulty. It's suspicious to be *that* convinced about an opinion built on air, and to yell it to the crowds at every opportunity you get. Besides it doesn't really make sense for a resistance member to do that so early on. As a spy though it is absolutely in your interest to paint me as a traitor despite having no reason to do so, and THAT is why you're suspicious.

Of course you're only my #2 most likely to be a spy now that Bela has reared her head.

Cathy, i have said that, but we need to say something. We need say who we think is the most scummy and the most innocent at the very least so we can move on.

Mr Jintan, interesting choice of words to describe a relationship, this would mean you were kohai if we are using your description in the classical Asian sense of the word. However if we are looking at it from the westernized accepted meaning it could mean someone you desire to have a relationship with and not strictly a superior/subordinate relationship.
