As Miss Hawkeye will be quite busy doing background work on the Olympics, this round of Resistance will return to its original format. There will be no story to accompany the missions, but everything else will work the same as usual.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

I'm going to go ahead and put this up now, as there's only one way this can go with the votes I've received.

Mission 5, Team 2 consisting of Devi, Justin, Molly, and Bela was a FAILURE.

The team members voted as follows:
???? SUCCEED
???? SUCCEED
???? SUCCEED
???? SABOTAGE

Spies win 3-2! Congratulations to the Spies, and a good effort by the Resistance.

The Spies this game were Yeti, Joseph, and Molly.

I hope you all had fun. :D

My fine friends, it is with a heavy heart I have to identify myself as the third spy.... Also...

WOOO! Woooooooooo!!!!! We carried it off!

I couldn't have asked for a better team to spy with than JZ and Yeti, who picked up on the strategy and ran with it. Sorry we had to ruin your lives, precisely by ruining each other's.

Hahaha I know, I can't believe that actually went through! If Sal had been less suspicious it may not have.

That was very tense at the end! I told everyone Molly was a spy, why does no one listen to me?

Great work from Joseph and Molly, both of you blowing me out of the water prose-wise. Personally I would have sabotaged the Devi-Joseph first mission, but then I am quite, quite mad.

Thank you for the game everyone, and thank you to The Announcer for hosting it.

Must say it's been a great game everyone. A big thank you to my spy partners for showing me the ropes and covering for my slip up. (Yes, that vote was actually an overlook; I forgot about / not aware of the No Confidence card) Yeti you impressed me with your spy professionalism and on how you bounced back with Devi's genuine confession. (Devi I'm sure you made the master sweat, big time) Molly, you're simply amazing and we had a great rapport built; you really led the team to victory. Sal, deep apologies for accusing you numerous of times; if it makes you feel better, my heart did bleed for it. You are very insightful and the only Resistence member who figured out. Justin thank you for trusting me, I swear I'm trust worthy, when I'm Resistence. Bella, you were a great rival and things might be different if the leadership order was different. I hope no one is put off playing another game, cuz I know the glorious announcer has another cool new one coming.

Joseph, no need to apologize, that's the game. I do find myself enjoying each round more. I too, think everyone did a fine job according to their roles. I made a mistake early on and appaarently was not forgiven for it while the spies got away clean, much to their credit. Yeti, I came close with my first suspects, but in the early comments you did seem spyish. I did however, eventually come around to thinking you were really resistance after you made the comment that everything you had done was pro resistance, as it was. Joseph, your neon sign comment moved you into my maybe column, as well as the falseness of the statement. Oh geez, in other words, I think it turned out to be a great puzzle and I truly enjoyed it.

Oh, Devi. Sorry to have suspected you from the start. It was based on pre mission comments and took some work to try and put that suspicion down and I'm not quite sure I completely did. It all made for a great round though.

Fab game to watch guys.

Have to say flitted from Yeti being a spy and Molly being a spy but never suspected you both of being spies. Nicely played :D

Haha, I'm actually kind of happy for Molly; you do enjoy being a spy so much :D I don't think I would have figured out you were the third spy anyway (seriously, I just crossed you off of my list, a while ago!). It wasn't Sal being suspicious - I didn't find you suspicious, so good job! :D

Ahem, I mean: FILTHY DIRTY SPIES!!! You lot.

Sal, I'm sorry (our first game too!); you were forgiven a long time ago after you made a bunch of posts but I just couldn't figure out who the last spy was, so I just decided to go with the same team - I just didn't know who to boot. I even decided all four of you (DW, Justin, Molly, and Sal) were Resistance before I went, "okay, now you're just being crazy - you're Resistance too. I think." :P

I expected everybody to do *something* (I expected *you* to do something after the NO CONFIDENCE thing when it was your turn to pick a team, but you and Justin, you two just wouldn't budge :D) but I never would have guessed that Molly was our last spy. I knew something was up because Yeti was being all smug and just doing the bare minimum when it came to protesting his innocence (ha, how good was that anyway? On your day, you can take pretty much anybody Yeti, but this time, against DW; oh, it was hilarious :D).

Oh, and the neon comment was really something. I was just skimming through the page but when I got to that, I had to go back to figure out how things came to that, I just had to :D

Okay, yay, I lost a game. Where's the glorious Announcer; if she's not drowning in Olympics ribbons yet, I'm up for the next game. *Totally* against my better judgment :D Thank you so much for hosting a game I could play, Riza :)
