As Miss Hawkeye will be quite busy doing background work on the Olympics, this round of Resistance will return to its original format. There will be no story to accompany the missions, but everything else will work the same as usual.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

I don't think Bela was ruling out Sal as a spy Molly, just herself.

Sal, my problem with your team was not telling us Bela's allegiance. I don't think I've ever taken issue with Justin?

Yeah; if I'm a spy and Sal says I'm Resistance, then he's a spy too. Then the numbers wouldn't work, proving that I'm not a spy, but Sal still could be. Seriously, I've got nothing - hence the "more later"...I thought I'd have something to say later. Nothing yet.

Joseph, what do you have to say in reply to DW's and Yeti's posts on the previous page (starting 14 Aug, 23:27)? I'm not sure how I feel about this team.

Yeti. Joseph revealed someone's allegiance, I think Justin's. I don't necessarily believe her. Why does it feel funny to call Joseph her? So for me to have revealed Bela's, who would that have satisfied? The spies will concoct something and the real resistance still won't know for sure. So that makes no sense to me.

Okay, flash ------I am a spy.

Resistance people, believe Joseph and whomever, but wait and see how you're going to feel when this game is over. :D

Bela, like yourself, sometimes I just close my mouth and see what others write (because I haven't come down with a conclusion yet, plus very often I'm busy).

I did read Yeti's Aug-14-2016 23:27 post earlier, and honestly I don't know what to think. All his reasoning are correct, but it's just impossible to imagine Devi was acting everything that had happened. She seemed genuine enough. In this case, I'd just leave both of them out of the picture for now and focus on what we know would work. I KNOW a team of Justin-Bela-Joseph will, and if we win this one, then Resistance is on the road to victory.

As to DW's suggestion, knowing what I know, it sounded off. We're picking a team of 3 right now, and Devi put out 4 names. I know Justin is resistance and Molly's definitely a SPY, so if anyone is putting Molly out of the picture by my warning, then DW becomes the obvious choice to the trio... It sounds like a game plan to me (doesn't make the computer glich less hilarious though!)

Sal, you're a great friend to me as well. Yes, it is weird to call Joseph a her... I guess I'll need to use another account when i play Resistance :P

That said, it doesn't make all the moves you've made so far less questionable and your reasoning more logical...

Wow, so much happened.

Since Joseph accurately reported my allegiance as resistance, I am accepting her as resistance which puts Molly in the spy category.

Maybe I am just sleepy, but why did Sal say that he is a spy? Was he confessing or was he being sarcastic??

Devi is far more cunning than you give her credit for, Joseph. Yes, she was upset, but she was upset because as a spy she found herself discovered so early. So she pulled out all the stops (and I mean ALL the stops) to convince people she wasn't a spy. If you believe her though, the Resistance is done for.

What he said. Just replace 'Devi' with 'Yeti'.

Jroepel, just because she said you were resistance doesn't say anything about her allegiance. It just means she didn't want to cause another Yeti Devi situation.
