As Miss Hawkeye will be quite busy doing background work on the Olympics, this round of Resistance will return to its original format. There will be no story to accompany the missions, but everything else will work the same as usual.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.

A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.

Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)

Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

Joseph is on the team, so I can understand why he's tempted to take a gamble on my lying. I don't know why Molly is backing a clearly bad proposition though; that is very suspicious.

The only suspicious thing is the lying spy seeing his plans go down the drain

Devi, if you followed the last game, or go back and read it, you will see I reacted much the same way when JZ accused me. I thought of leaving the game too, but didn't post it. So I've been there. I know how infuriating it is. And that's ok. No emotion or feeling is bad. I just wanted to remind everyone, not just you, that this is supposed to be fun.

Now, I'm done preaching ;)

Just going through a lot at home right now with the kid being sick with a high fever, running to the emergency room, then getting sick myself and having to watch over an overly energetic toddler (even when sick) while having no magical 'energy button' myself it just pissed me off even more than normal. I know it's a game.

I just hope i picked the right person, hoping he's Resistance or I'll never hear the end of it.

Oh poo, Yeti. You'll never not suspect me after that game...

As I said before the chances of this team failing is minimal, it would just be too obvious a move. Because of this I'm a little more comfortable with it- however I wanted everyone's opinion so we don't just throw a spy a win.

Oh no Devi! I hope both you and kiddo will recover soon! My son is 5 and he was / is super energetic as well. My immune system also goes through those dives too (son gets sick = I'd get sick soon enough, since mamas never gets enough rest and the bacteria / virus would jump at the great opportunity); it's the worst thing ever, but it seem unavoidable (I got sneezed at just too many times). Hard to believe but it does get better when they grow older, so just hang in there! As a wise saying I once heard goes: the days are long but the years are short. Do cherish every moment, but I do hope to forget those long fever nights as well....

Oops, forgot to delete Devi's paragraph. Apologies there.

Must remember, 3 out of 7 people are spies. Spies would say no to this if Devi is really resistance as well. They'd want to sabotage and they can't on this one if both persons are clean.

Let me reintroduce everyone to Lilith. Now if you'll excuse me I need to start the dishwasher. *Looks pointedly at Lilith*

No offense but, Autumn, I'm not sure which one is more psychotic, you or your phone.... :P
