One of the most prominent yet elusive people of Sleuthville, the legendary Big Lucy herself, is hitting a new milestone in life. While none are bold enough to inquire her age, rumors say this is a momentous occasion. The guest list is comprised of the most prominent and affluent people in Sleuthville and beyond.

However, some of Sleuthville's own working class have been invited-- not as guests, but as special operatives to patrol the event. They have been selected for their swiftness, skill, and intelligence. They will be entrusted with making sure that Big Lucy's Birthday Bash goes off without a hitch. But, as always, there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames.

A mere three minutes before the event is scheduled to start, the operatives are informed of an alarming development. There has been a breach within the ranks, and a number of spies have infiltrated the group! Having never seen each others' faces, there is no way to discern whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure Big Lucy's birthday celebration goes off without a hitch. If she is pleased at the end of the night, it is almost guaranteed that they will lead easy lives from thereon out. Whispers say Big Lucy may be more forgiving on her big day, but even she has her limits...

Will Big Lucy's birthday bash be a huge success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

lmao! I know it's been a while, but go back and read the first several pages. I didn't align myself closely with him throughout. I'm now aligning myself with him now. I simply think he's right.

Josephine, you're conveniently forgetting I suspected you of being a spy soon after the mission failed. I think I suspected someone else too who also turned out to be a spy but can't remember at the moment.

I'm recently home from a treatment (the roughest yet) and am really tired. I can look it up later if it's important to you.

I know I haven't been too active, and I'm really too tired to talk about conspiracy theories and so on, so I'm just going to wish Autumn and Joseph luck with their respective medical issues. Much health to the both of you ladies. (I didn't mess up the gender, right?)

Mission 2 Result:

It all happened in a matter of seconds. Keira Ann was the first one to reach Big Lucy, with the others not far behind. Swiftly, Keira slipped the glass out of the large woman's hand as Marc and Justin sled in and impeded the vision of the people with whom she had been talking.

Almost immediately Devi appeared at the scene, carrying a new (untampered-with) flute of champagne which she handed off to Keira. As soon as Keira had placed the fresh glass in Big Lucy's hand, the team members each moved away in a different directions.

To those talking to Big Lucy, it only appeared as through two men had been trying to get through. The woman resumed conversation as though nothing had happened. She smiled and took a sip from her glass. The team had succeeded. But unbeknownst to Big Lucy, an angry pair of eyes was watching from afar.

Mission 2 consisting of Keira Ann, jroepel, M. Lacrimosa, and Devilishwings was a SUCCESS.

The team members voted as follows:
