One of the most prominent yet elusive people of Sleuthville, the legendary Big Lucy herself, is hitting a new milestone in life. While none are bold enough to inquire her age, rumors say this is a momentous occasion. The guest list is comprised of the most prominent and affluent people in Sleuthville and beyond.

However, some of Sleuthville's own working class have been invited-- not as guests, but as special operatives to patrol the event. They have been selected for their swiftness, skill, and intelligence. They will be entrusted with making sure that Big Lucy's Birthday Bash goes off without a hitch. But, as always, there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames.

A mere three minutes before the event is scheduled to start, the operatives are informed of an alarming development. There has been a breach within the ranks, and a number of spies have infiltrated the group! Having never seen each others' faces, there is no way to discern whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure Big Lucy's birthday celebration goes off without a hitch. If she is pleased at the end of the night, it is almost guaranteed that they will lead easy lives from thereon out. Whispers say Big Lucy may be more forgiving on her big day, but even she has her limits...

Will Big Lucy's birthday bash be a huge success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

Sindy dear, furball isn't the only one who called you a spy. And I have no bee smoker 🐝 This is also my first game of Resistance and I'm certainly no evil genius mastermind.

Yeti is right about the identities of the spies. The only spy to vote yes was Helen. It was her team. The spies all just outed themselves thinking that there would be more no votes. Sorry love.

He probably figured it out because he's played this game before and had been a spy. I knew some of the spies. He confirmed those and filled out the list for me. Looking back, everything makes sense. We'll know when this mission succeeds and every mission with this team succeeds.

If resistance members are agreed to the suggestion to run with this team if it succeeds, then the first person to change the team before a sabotage is a spy.

So? Who will be the first to try to come up with a way to change the team with no sabotages? I bet it's one of yeti's four.

Yes, it's rather curious how closely you've aligned yourself with Yeti throughout.

Pick whatever team you want. But unless a team has myself (because I know I'm resistance), Sal Iva (because he's the other player that Yeti *knows* is a spy) and M. Lacrimosa on it, I'm voting no.

This team will succeed because of course if there is a spy on it, they're not going to tip their hand now. They HAVE to be able to get TWO spies on the fourth team to be able to win.

Hey everyone, a spy is voting NO to every mission without at least two spies on it!

@ Sindy
Thank you for your well wishes.

Unfortunately, a female who wears an eye patch in RL are usually NOT considered sexy, not that I expect the doctor to take my eye out in the process *swallows hard*

Oh ya, apologies for the confusion. For RP purposes I picked a male character/avatar as I find it easier to write as a dude detective in the 1930's. Call me traditional but I don't think there are that many female detectives running around town back then, so it's hard for me to RP as one.

Definitely researching on eschar removal to ensure minimal scarring. Thanks for the heads up...

...and one last thing. Just because I use an Avatar that doesn't match my real gender (who also happens to be a "Tale Spinner") that does NOT make me a Spy!

@ Autumn
Yeti is very likely a spy and hence his deduction may sound believable as he knows how to make it appear logical. For a Spy who won a bee smoker (how many games ago was that?), I am sure he has upped his game and know how to lead everyone astray.

Now how did you get that cute bee 🐝 emoji to work here?
