One of the most prominent yet elusive people of Sleuthville, the legendary Big Lucy herself, is hitting a new milestone in life. While none are bold enough to inquire her age, rumors say this is a momentous occasion. The guest list is comprised of the most prominent and affluent people in Sleuthville and beyond.

However, some of Sleuthville's own working class have been invited-- not as guests, but as special operatives to patrol the event. They have been selected for their swiftness, skill, and intelligence. They will be entrusted with making sure that Big Lucy's Birthday Bash goes off without a hitch. But, as always, there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames.

A mere three minutes before the event is scheduled to start, the operatives are informed of an alarming development. There has been a breach within the ranks, and a number of spies have infiltrated the group! Having never seen each others' faces, there is no way to discern whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure Big Lucy's birthday celebration goes off without a hitch. If she is pleased at the end of the night, it is almost guaranteed that they will lead easy lives from thereon out. Whispers say Big Lucy may be more forgiving on her big day, but even she has her limits...

Will Big Lucy's birthday bash be a huge success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

I believe it is better to err on the side of NO in the first couple of rounds. Obviously you don't vote NO until the Spies win, that would be silly.

Sindy, let me clear with you as well. Yeti did not direct me to vote no. I already doubted Joseph just four posts before yeti made his post. Before that I had privately doubted Helen (although I can't remember why at the moment. I'll have to go back through my notes.) but didn't feel I had enough information to go public with it.

That's where I was when I read yeti's post. It gelled with my thoughts, and filled in gaps. It makes perfect sense.

I believe you know me well enough by now to know I will bow before very few people. I will bend to the will of even fewer. Ask Justin about it. I'm not arrogant or prideful, but I detest being "led" or commanded. I would not tolerate it for a stupid game.

But it'd make perfect sense if you two are spies and are pulling each other's legs. Already it is working to sway many in trying his list or else. It is highly dangerous and in no time true spies will strike out and sabotage the missions.

It must be disheartening for you Joseph, being part of this slow trudge towards the downfall of the spies. Struggle as you might your feet keep carrying your team towards oblivion, as you're forced to provide input knowing that your future lies in demise.

Yeti, you're the one who will lead people into demise if they listen to you. We can still save this game if we listen to our senses and flush him out!

All I am asking for is a simple test. This experiment will give us observable results. Try my team proposal. If successful, then resistance confirmed. If my team proposal fails, then Yeti is wrong. Simple deduction says that my proposal is the correct course of action. I have to ask myself why Joseph is so dead set against trying. Could it be that Joseph is the sabatuer that threw the first mission? I think so.

Autumn, I know you are a strong, independent woman. :)

Everyone please be aware that anything that I post in this thread is in the context and spirit of the game and not to be taken personally. I admire and enjoy inhabiting Sleuth with each of you.

Viva la resistance!

"It is highly dangerous and in no time true spies will strike out and sabotage the missions."

Is that a threat Joseph?

jroepel, a thought. Joseph has all but come out as a spy now through his suspicious line up and posts. Ms Helen as well has done little to prove the accusations otherwise beyond feigning offence. I do believe Sindy and Sal to be the spies out of the three of you, but on pure chance based reasoning you're actually a 1/3 chance to be Resistance, compared to a 2/3 one to be a Spy. I think it'd be best for the Resistance if the four person team we go forward with doesn't include you, and instead is a mix of myself, Autumn, Devi, Marc and Keira (Keira absolutely must be on it).

Oh for goodness Yeti, for the last time I am not feigning anything. I struggle to grasp these games which means I could never play the 'correct way' that you seem to have in your head. I can't disprove anything just like most people can't and yes you're right I could be as guilty as the next person (I'm not) however you've based this on me pretending that I don't know what I'm doing and the one thing I can honestly say is I'M NOT pretending... genuinely I really am this clueless when it comes to games. So yes I can understand why some people may think I'm a spy but I'm no more spy than the next person. I'm happy to not be on a team if that means we vote to yes and then hopefully a successful mission. And now that I'm finally sat down for the day I will have a look at who I think should be on the team

The one think that is becoming very obvious to me though is that no matter what I say or do you have a response to it Yeti it's like you're purposefully trying to set me up. I thought you were a spy yesterday and more so now, your whole attitude of having an answer for everything make me certain of it.
