One of the most prominent yet elusive people of Sleuthville, the legendary Big Lucy herself, is hitting a new milestone in life. While none are bold enough to inquire her age, rumors say this is a momentous occasion. The guest list is comprised of the most prominent and affluent people in Sleuthville and beyond.

However, some of Sleuthville's own working class have been invited-- not as guests, but as special operatives to patrol the event. They have been selected for their swiftness, skill, and intelligence. They will be entrusted with making sure that Big Lucy's Birthday Bash goes off without a hitch. But, as always, there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames.

A mere three minutes before the event is scheduled to start, the operatives are informed of an alarming development. There has been a breach within the ranks, and a number of spies have infiltrated the group! Having never seen each others' faces, there is no way to discern whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure Big Lucy's birthday celebration goes off without a hitch. If she is pleased at the end of the night, it is almost guaranteed that they will lead easy lives from thereon out. Whispers say Big Lucy may be more forgiving on her big day, but even she has her limits...

Will Big Lucy's birthday bash be a huge success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

If you don't want Marc on there, put in Kiera.

I don't trust Marc, and I'm suspicious of Devi...

Oh, just look at past games. I always vote yes on a mission. I'm resistance and that's that. Thankful for it, too, since I don't have the deviousness to be a spy. Look that up too, lol. This way I get to check in every once in a while when the kid permits and see if I have to vote for something. Also, one more reason I voted Yes was because I actually wanted to play a round. Oh well.

So put in Kiera. And what has devi done to be suspicious?

Yeti, I don't for one nanosecond underestimate your intelligence.

As a programmer, the odds are pretty good that you are also a math whiz. And math whizzes are ALWAYS master strategists and excellent chess players. All chess players know that you must sacrifice some moves to win the end game. So, of course, if you are a spy you are not going to tip your hand until you absolutely have to.

I can only restate that your efforts to influence everyone else's view of how to play the game, interpret the votes, and cast suspicion on other players from the very beginning has made me very suspicious of you.

Oh I see. Because she voted yes. Well you asked my thoughts on a team and I gave them to you.

I'm up to test Yeti's theory. I propose a team of Autumn, Devi, Kiera, and me. This tests Yeti's theory, and puts Autumn's loyalty to the test. If it is a win for the resistance, then that gives us some information to work with and lets everyone consider Yeti's theory. If we end up losing this one, then Autumn and Kiera go on the spy list because Yeti is so strongly behind them. This is the best I can come up with. I don't know if I am smart enough to play this game. haha

Surely the problem we have though whatever team is proposed if everyone on the team says succeed, they could still be doing it to throw off suspicion?

I don't want to play into Yeti's scheme; what if it was his plan to plant someone into the group he proposed? Of the people his suggested, I am sure one is a spy, but perhaps no more than that. The question is, would that be Autumn or Kiera? (That doesn't mean Jroepel & Devi are clean. Devi could be using the same strategy as before to freign innocence. As she described it, she did not have the time to do anything else. It would be a convenient cover. As for Jroepel, he seemed honest enough, but is he concurring with Yeti's ideas as they are both Spies?)

I'll just have to choose a team. I just have a take a bet with Autumn as the alternative is Marc. Jroepel can be in it for being least suspicious (for now), and same with Sal since he voted No in the first round (although I still don't quite agree with No=Innocent, but given he did it in the first round, there's no point in suspecting him), between Devi and Keira, that's a tough call. Keira can still be innocent and strung along by Yeti, but between the two Devi does seem less likely to have anything to do with that scheme. Wait, or maybe this is how the spies want us to think... Perhaps Keira is innocent.... Ugh! I'm pulling my hair out on this!

You guys are right, I am suspecting my own shadows by now. Okay, I've made my choice. I think this group has the least likelihood to have a spy in it (without putting myself in, which is the greatest pity as I know at least I can trust myself): Autumn, Jroepel, Sal, Keira.
