One of the most prominent yet elusive people of Sleuthville, the legendary Big Lucy herself, is hitting a new milestone in life. While none are bold enough to inquire her age, rumors say this is a momentous occasion. The guest list is comprised of the most prominent and affluent people in Sleuthville and beyond.

However, some of Sleuthville's own working class have been invited-- not as guests, but as special operatives to patrol the event. They have been selected for their swiftness, skill, and intelligence. They will be entrusted with making sure that Big Lucy's Birthday Bash goes off without a hitch. But, as always, there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames.

A mere three minutes before the event is scheduled to start, the operatives are informed of an alarming development. There has been a breach within the ranks, and a number of spies have infiltrated the group! Having never seen each others' faces, there is no way to discern whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure Big Lucy's birthday celebration goes off without a hitch. If she is pleased at the end of the night, it is almost guaranteed that they will lead easy lives from thereon out. Whispers say Big Lucy may be more forgiving on her big day, but even she has her limits...

Will Big Lucy's birthday bash be a huge success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

Not saying that you are Yeti but theoretically it is possible that both you and Keira are conspiring together and you're lying?

From the way how Autumn was strongly defending her innocence when I hinted at my discomfort with her calling everyone a spy, it does feel authentic. It is quite possible that she is Resistance, but then I could be wrong...

Yeti asked Keira Ann to reveal her allegiance to him because she is "one of only two people who voted down a mission with a spy on it", but that's not true. It was Sal. Either Yeti made an innocent mistake with his memory, or that he was looking for an excuse. KA's willingness to oblige and then have Yeti reveal her "innocence" on the thread does sound suspicious though....

Is Marc using his no confidence card now? (my mistake to give it to him in the first place then, since Autumn is right that there's no point in using it now; like the first mission we don't have enough information yet)... As Marc is using no confidence, I should use my strong leader card on him as he's taking the lead.

Autumn, i hope you're right that there's no spies on this one, as I was planning to keep my strong leader card to be used in situations where I'm sure the leader was a spy. I was thinking of the odds though, that what are the chances of having no spies on a mission of 4 people when there are 4 spies in our midst? or, could it be that there are 2 or more spies on it so that Marc would wanna take it down?

Yes Ms Helen, it is possible that Keira and I are in cahoots. We're kind of linked now because of that power.

Joseph, I didn't mean that Keira voted down the spy mission, I mean I voted down the mission (along with Sal) therefore I should be trusted.

Anyway, I'm going to have to vote this one down. With one spy in the first team, that leaves three spies out of seven remaining players. Therefore with four on a team, and my not being on that team, it must have a spy on it.

Also worth baring in mind that there could have been more than one spy on the first team. Not sure why you wouldn't vote yes for a team you are on?

Great, i wrote a whole analytical piece but it didn't post as I was apparently logged out.... [fuming] Okay, let try this again.


I now understand what you meant now Yeti. I thought you indicated that both you and Keira voted No in the last mission. I still don't understand how to determine someone's allegiance by looking at how they vote (esp for the first round). I guess I have lots to learn.

Still, this link you mentioned is one sided. Keira have no idea what you allegiance is, unless she is also a spy. There are three possibilities:
- Yeti and Keira are both Resistance, but only Yeti would know that for sure.
- Keira is Resistance but Yeti is a spy, and Keira may think that Yeti is now trustworthy.
- Both Yeti and Keira are spies, and Yeti is covering for her by making it sound legitimate in public for her to reveal her identity to him.

I'm charting my own list of people who are more likely to be trustworthy, and so far Yeti, Keira, Sal & Autumn are on my list... with lots of doubts thrown in, of course. (ie. If Marc turns out to be trustworthy then Autumn would immediately be off my list; If Keira turns out to be a spy then Yeti is definitely a spy as well, etc etc.)

Anyhow there's no point in voting for [Mission 2- Team 1] until Marc has clarified whether he is using his No Confidence card for this mission or not.

To be clear, NO CONFIDENCE can only be played AFTER a mission proposal is APPROVED by more than half of the players. So you all need to send me your votes now. I have less than half of them at the moment.

Should the mission receive enough votes to go forward, I will then ask Marc and Yeti if they want to use their NO CONFIDENCE abilities before I do anything else.

Oh, i see. Thanks for your clarification.

In that case, Yeti, i am not sure why we should vote this one down. Please explain to me your line of thoughts as I am confused as hell right now. I don't see it getting any better as Marc will be up next.

I had doubts and still do about revealing to Yeti, because as both Ms. Helen and Joseph pointed out, we are now linked. It being so early in the game , I have no real way of knowing who is on my side in the resistance. Could Yeti be a spy and want me to waste my revealing allegiance on him? Who knows? But since I had to reveal to someone, I thought he seemed trustworthy enough.

Also, this is my first time playing this game so I may not have all the strategy down yet.
