Hi all. Our poor old server had a bad day. It was pretty slow yesteday, and may have even corrupted a few cases.

I finally had to put it out of it's misery this evening, and launched a brand-spankin new one.

I don't think any data was lost, but please let me know here if you think you were penalized somehow.

I've gone ahead and granted all current subscribers an extra day on their subscriptions.

The only bug that I know of right now is that bar chat isn't working. I'll get to that in the next couple days.

I'm having a hard time identifying all the bugged case files. Does anybody strongly object to me just clearing out all agency and apartment files?

I've had people ask me to clear cases purely on the basis they don't want the 'quits'. I think you should just go ahead and do it, purely so people stop asking me to do something I can't :D

Or we can mark them with bugged in the notes part!

Ben, PM sent re: apartment cases. Basically, I have many that are already solved and stored, for a variety of sleuths reasons.

I'd like to keep my apartment cases too. They're all solved anyway. Also it seems I also somehow "lost" all daily cases today. Anyone know when exactly is the turnover now?

The Daily turnover should now be back to happening at 4 minutes after midnight, server time (Pacific Time).

Ok, I think I have enough of a handle to identify bugged case files. But it sounds like there are enough people who have solved files that are now bugged who want to keep them that I can't really just nuke all the bugged ones.

If everybody would be willing to add a note that says "BUGGED" in casefiles they want deleted, I could delete them easily.

Another option is I could add something that identifies a bugged case when you try to visit a townie and gives you the opportunity to quit the case without it counting against you. Should I just do that?

I think the second option makes the most sense, placing the ability to ditch a bugged case in the players' hands.

I like the 2nd option, quitting a bugged case without consequence. If that's not too much trouble.

I have saved some "quit' cases in case my nemesis asks for them. They're in my apt. but I"m on a villan hunt so I can't check them. All sorts of scenarios here aren't there?.
