Pugilism vs Flirting

If I'm not wrong, pugilism increases the chance of intimidation (or interrogation?) by 20% against both male and female suspects (right?).

Whereas flirting increases the likelihood of rule bending (or sweet-talking, I'm not sure though I have the skill! :P ) for suspects only of the opposite gender.

That gives a slight edge to Tough, unless there's a similar skill for charm that I don't know (?).

If there isn't, wouldn't it be possible for us to get such a skill too? :)

So theoretically a charming female detective could have the Postal Clerk and the Fortune Teller as their contacts in Delhi, and only have two townies left uninfluenced by their wiles. Sounds like it pays to be a particularly well connected female detective in Delhi.

Actually Delhi has only 3 female townies. The 3rd one is the Taylor and she clams up on me all the time ;) Oh and all my contacts are females but the guys tend to calm up as easily - I'm looking at you Holy Man :D

Yup, I've only recently somewhat gotten over the fact that apart from the two musicians (WE), every single contact of mine is male (making London oh-so-fun). But then, Delhi is probably a special kind of hell for male charming dets and let's face it, I can't remember a single time London was *good*; so I just tell myself that my contacts would actually be very clammy if they weren't my contacts (and that's actually true, as they have very helpfully shown me when we see an urchin).

Oh, and Kachenka, your contacts are female charm GOLD; all my retire-and-get-some-decent-contacts pangs are coming back :D [Before anybody sets up a detective suicide hotline, I'll just clarify that no, I'm (probably) not really going to do it :D]

Delhi is even worse than I'd thought. They may clam on you still Kachenka, but Bela is quite right; you've got an awesome set of contacts.

Kachenka I saw your contacts just now, what wouldn't I give to exchange some of mine for yours. :D

Delhi is great for *us* :D Yeti, I suppose London is better than Delhi for you. :P
I simply hate London; I just can't decide who is worse - the Librarian or the Tailor there. They're SO greedy.

I wish Cairo had a bartender. My other unsubbed detective has two FAs and she's stuck there! :P

Well, for me personally all cities are the same as I'm a tough detective. However, yes, for a charming detective such as Secret_Squirrel any city would be better than Delhi. Even London.

Well I have to tell you that was looooong and frustrating process to get them:D I don't even remember how many favors I had to quit to get that Silk Merchant.

Heh Bela, that's quite true. they would be as clammy as the others are. So in the end it all depends on how lucky is the roll of the dice;)

I knew there was a reason to have agency in London;) it's a bit easier if you can use all your gear I guess.

I wanted to get the Banker in Cairo as my contact, and I'd decided that I would solve the first few favours (randomly), and then start quitting when getting a contact there was likely.... but the Shoemaker latched himself on to me on my 2nd favour itself.

I wish they wouldn't simply stick themselves on to us, and that I could I least say no, thank you very much, I prefer the Banker. :P But I'm stuck with him now unless I retire and start afresh.
