I've started work on the next update for Sleuth, and as promised it's going to be a content update. However, it's going to take a while before any of you see it, at least two months, potentially far longer than that.

Now I would hate to leave you all in the Sleuth wilderness, totally devoid of changes, so every one to two weeks I'll create an update from the suggestions you give here. An example of a small update (from the desk of Bela Talbot III) would be including your most recent fortune telling in the case file so long as you haven't discovered any new suspects since then.

Whilst this is going on I'll also fix up the small bugs lying around the game. For example, there's a certain accessory devouring fox that needs reining in, and possibly relocating. So don't worry about suggesting bug fixes here. Keep it to small things you'd like to see, or small annoyances you'd like changed.

Hey Breitkat. The red line should be appearing around a piece of physical evidence that the suspect matches, it doesn't have any weigh in with the alibi. So it's up to you work out if the suspect the physical evidence matches has a false alibi or not.

Yeah, like I said, my memory's not the greatest in some spots (the shorter the term, usually, the worse it is, unfortunately).

We used to have a previous note-taking system called the Automated Sleuth Helper system, developed by a guy named Pidgeot. When you managed to figure out your killer, it would light up the entire line of the suspect's name, alibi, matching evidence, etc, in bright red. Real alibis and eliminated evidence would light up in green. Unsubstantiated stuff was lit up in yellow.

The biggest problem I'm having switching between the two systems is keeping track of my color blocks. Which is why I mentioned the previous little blurb. Anyway, it's not the end of the world, just would be nice.

Whilst I'm thinking of it--

Any chance we can switch the default position of the Sleuth Mail block when it comes up when you hit the tab from the upper left corner to, say, the upper right corner of the screen?? It's a bit annoying to try and work on stuff and suddenly have things go wacky because you've got mail. Another small (even petty) change, but you DID ask for them. ;-)

Now back to our regularly scheduled bedlam.....;-D

Thanks,
B.

I have a hard time being able to tell which PMs I have read and which ones I haven't. Is there a way to make the unread PMs stand out more?

Thank you Sleuth Sindy! This is a big problem for me too. I'm only able to do mobile at the moment and, while I have about the biggest screen you can get, I still am not sure which ones I've read and which ones I haven't sometimes.

And sleuth gods forbid you have one that is just a smiley and don't click on it to read it. You will go crazy trying to get the flashy "you've got mail!" to stop flashy-ing!

Really quickly;

1) an option to exit/cut short the cruise - perhaps one of those boats that the research-verified suspects always sneak off on? It could cost a few cases but I think the 20k we fork over for the ticket should cover this too. Would I pay extra for this? It's likely.

2) an option to look through all your rewards from VHs together or one set after the other. I realise not many people do this, but I let a few rewards build up at the Prince's before I go there with a nice, sturdy sack. Right now, I have to choose from the set offered for the latest villain captured, then from the second-last villain-capture reward-set and so on; I'd like to shuffle through those. I mean, I risked life and limb on that hunt! And all the others...

I'm forgetting something...

I want a luck bonus for when you have the guts to work on cases whilst wearing no gear at all.

Guaranteed bail money and free legal representation would be nice as well, BadAss. For when the townies inevitably call the cops on you for running around town nekkid. Or does that only happen to me?

Never had any trouble with the law. In Sleuth that is.

I am new to the game and I am not exactly sure if what I suggest is correct or not..I have completed 3 VH's now. Could a detective receive a new title for completing his/her first VH?

Hi Murray Arty, I love your name, I've noticed it before on the player list. :)

The first achievement for quantity of villain hunts kicks in after ten captures.
