I've started work on the next update for Sleuth, and as promised it's going to be a content update. However, it's going to take a while before any of you see it, at least two months, potentially far longer than that.

Now I would hate to leave you all in the Sleuth wilderness, totally devoid of changes, so every one to two weeks I'll create an update from the suggestions you give here. An example of a small update (from the desk of Bela Talbot III) would be including your most recent fortune telling in the case file so long as you haven't discovered any new suspects since then.

Whilst this is going on I'll also fix up the small bugs lying around the game. For example, there's a certain accessory devouring fox that needs reining in, and possibly relocating. So don't worry about suggesting bug fixes here. Keep it to small things you'd like to see, or small annoyances you'd like changed.

While I have the Powers That Be on the line...

I'm just getting used to this Detective Notes thing, and I'd like to say thank you for the update. It's not as easy to deal with as the Automated Sleuth Helper was, but I'm getting the hang of it (and if I can do it, trust me, any of you gumshoes should be able to run circles around me on the thing ;-).

There is one slight tweak that I'd like to ask for though. When you go to ask a townsperson to match a piece of evidence against a suspect, they will tell you yes or no (nothing new there). There's a tab to the upper right asking if you want to try and match the evidence against another suspect. My request is is there any way we can have a button that says "Match this suspect against ANOTHER Thread/Footprint/Whatever"?? Instead of having to go back and clicking on the second thread/footprint/whatever and then the person's name again? (This caveat, of course, only qualifies when you have 2 or more of a particular kind of evidence. ;-)

I hope that made at least an inkling of sense to somebody up there on the Throne. Again, thanks for listening to the rambling sermon of the day. Ever need any help with Creative Input, lemme know. ;-)

Thanks again!!

One more query from a lowly peon, your Eminences...

Any chance those of us with an Apartment could get an invite tab under people's names in their detective's profile, so we don't have to look up names, then go BACK to the apartment section, put in the name, probably misspell it, go back to the City Hall section, look up the name again, rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat, ad infinitum, just to get one invite sent out to a person to your Apartment?? I know it's not much for those who aren't cerebrally challenged, but those of us with Early Alzheimers or terrible spelling are up the Mississippi (four i's , Breit ;-) without a damned paddle.

Thanks for the rambling opportunity. ;-D

Hi Breitkat, I've seen lots your posts around the forum but we've never 'met'. I'm certainly not any kind of royalty, but you are something of a Sleuth legend. Great to see you.

I like the idea of being able to check a suspect against a piece of evidence without having to worry about pressing the back button. Due to where the Notes are currently located on that page the more options that are added to the top-right townie questions, the more they get pushed down. This means that as questions disappear the Notes start flying around the list. It's not a good look, and is surprisingly distracting. Once I've finally gotten to redesigning the website (including making it mobile friendly) adding those extra questions will be the sort of thing that can be tackled.

Easier apartment invites are a good one. That can probably be arranged.

Thanks, Breit.

Nice to meet you too, Yeti. Hope the programming difficulties go okay. ;-)

My wish is that when you solve a favor or case that rewards you with an item, you would have the option of storing it in your agency equipment locker OR storing it in your apartment (if you have one of course). I realize this is probably more complicated than it sounds as there are different places in your apartment where things can possibly be stored - but nonetheless I add it to the ever lengthening, ongoing Sleuth "wish list."

Thanks for listening. :)

And let me add that I am so stoked about the possibility of having a Sleuth app at some undetermined point in the future.

BIG thumbs up!

Oh, and one more thing.

It would be simply awesome if on our agency page instead of having a little link to the equipment locker halfway down the page, we could have a big button (like the "View Agency Members" button) instead. When I go to my agency page, 90% of the time it's to change gear, and I can change gear several times during a game. Or heck, having a "Visit Agency Equipment Locker" button on the map page would be decadent luxury. :)

Once again, thanks for listening.

I personally would like to see an Official Sleuth Pronunciation Guide for Suspects in Shanghai and Delhi for those of us who did not have the benefit of growing up in a multicultural society.

Still getting used to these Detective Notes. But I have noticed one slight thing I'd like to suggest for a change.

When you come up with a match on Physical Evidence to a suspect with a False Alibi, there's a red line that forms around the person's name (I think??). Anyway, there's a red line rectangle in the notes, but it's difficult to tell sometimes EXACTLY which person is the right one. My suggestion is to turn that red line rectangle into a SOLID rectangle, please?? That way, there's no mistaking THIS IS THE CULPRIT.

I hope that makes at least a little sense?? Thanks for the rambling opportunity. ;-D

Hey Breitkat. The red line should be appearing around a piece of physical evidence that the suspect matches, it doesn't have any weigh in with the alibi. So it's up to you work out if the suspect the physical evidence matches has a false alibi or not.
