Sleuth Kits/ Bags

When we travel, we usually use Travel Kits to cut down the number of cases spent.
Also, when we're in a city which is not the city our agency's based in, we're stuck with a five-piece set of gear (four, if we use the Travel Kit).

So I was thinking that a kind of Sleuth Bag or a Sleuth Kit could be created, which we could use to carry another set of clothes. It would be particularly helpful for searching crime scenes, when we're not at home.

Maybe the bag or kit could be designed like a mini-locker, where we could store just five pieces of equipment.

What do you all say? :)

If you get to the point where you have an apartment, there are two cities where you can use smarts gear. A portable locker sounds great but only because it makes the game easier. Part of the games mechanics are there to make you think about what you're wearing. As it is when you're fully charmed or toughed up you hardly ever have to quit a case. Smarts is a 'bonus' almost, to 'speed up' the case. If you had an alternate set with you at all times then we'd just end up making items + tough or + tough or + charm only, because there wouldn't be any need for smart / tough... smart/charm or even tough / charm gear for that matter.

But then I just solved my first case in about a year, and I'd REALLY like an auto-solve button.

Well, I see your point about the gear. :)

But, like, if we choose to wear gear that's nearly +30 charm/ tough or so, the smarts are much lesser then, as the charms gear *usually* has negative smarts.
So at crime scenes, say in AI cases that almost always have 4 PE, most of them will remain unanalyzed (curly, heavy, etc) and that makes the work harder when there are 11 suspects, 7 with fake alibis. Sigh. :D

But yes, you're right about the gear. :)

You should've seen me trying to solve my first case in 5 years SS. It was hilarious, I tell you what. :P

Personally I like the challenge of Sleuth the way it is. Granted when I was a more amature sleuth I probably would have liked a suitcase but now I'm a more seasoned detective and proud I earned my props the "hard way."

No need for suitcase but I'd like to have a some kind of "pocket" for travel kit.
