Our good friend YetiFace has kindly volunteered to help me out with addressing some long standing issues and adding some new features (huzzah!)

For his first act, he's rolled out a few small updates and getting generally acquainted with working with/for/around my disorganized mess.

Here we are:

1) A bunch of narrative incongruities on the Sleuthetania are now fixed. No more "streets" or "back doors" appearing out of nowhere in the story.

2) A bunch of unnecessary clicks have been shaved from your lives. For instance, clicking on the Bar in the map now takes you directly to the bartender (secondary link to visit Mr Smily) rather than make you choose between characters first.

3) Added a note before you enter the chat room explaining that it's not a good place to ask for help on your specific case.

Did I miss anything Yeti?

Hopefully this is just the first in a string of wonderful new toys YetiFace will bring. He's got lots of good ideas and we'll try not to burn him out too quickly.

Please use this thread to log any bugs / feedback related to these updates... but please be nice. He may have a thick furry hide, but I'm sure that inside lurks the heart of a butterfly...

Happy Sleuthing.

Ah, yes, that would be an over sight. I'm really sorry about that, and hopefully we'll have a proper fix for that out soon. However, the old pages are still active you'll just need to navigate to them manually. When you're in London visit this link to return the books:

Thank you both. Most welcome is the change made to spare us from the tedious extra clicks :-)

Ok, the problem Tyrion ran into returning books should be fixed now. Thanks everyone.

Loving the updates.

I officially withdraw 29% of my age old request to be able to switch contacts. I hate the concierge much less now.

But, unfortunatelly, the returned books don't count towards my Nemmy mission. The number of books under the task on my detective page doesn't change regardless of how many books I return. In the meantime I returned at least three, possibly four books, but the number of unreturned books remains the same.

Before:

Task: Retrieve 7 books for the Library in London
Return book to the Librarian in London for $1000 reward

After:

Task: Retrieve 7 books for the Library in London
Retrieve overdue book from the Bartender in New York for $1000 reward

I really should have caught that one when I fixed the issue with general returns. I'm sorry once again, and we'll have that fixed soon.

Ok, Yeti has fixed the bug.

Also, you should no longer be blocked from completing one mission if you have a second mission with the same townie. This should help in a number of situations.

Tyrion, I've credited you with 3 library book deliveries for the hassle. Go get 'em!

Thanks Yeti.

To spell it out more specifically, players no longer need to fear carrying packages and books whilst chasing a Nemesis. Nor having their hats taken from their heads when they deliver a package.
