How do you become the Philosopher Marshall, Guardian Brother, etc. of a faction?

Very simple, you just need to have the highest standing with a particular faction, out of every detective in the world, when the server updates.

That's what I thought, until I woke up this morning and I wasn't the Guardian Brother of the Green Hand anymore. Someone else with the standing of 35 was Guardian Sister when I had a standing of 40.

Just checked again for the umpteenth time, and her standing was 55. How could I have read it wrong, and so many times?

HOW is it possible to rake up that many points in so little time?!? I was Guardian Brother JUST yesterday!!!

Well, without wanting to give too much away, there's a third method for gaining standing with a faction (besides going cases and little jobs). It's only available to subscribers who can visit Cairo.

Oh. Rats. How can I compete with that? Not fair.

Well, Dankeschön.

Sherlock, since I'm unsubbed at the moment; I've been the Philosopher Marshall of The Order Of Socrates for almost a fortnight now only by doing my little jobs every single day.

Also, I make sure I solve every case that has positive politics towards TOOS. That gives me +1. Whenever I get a case that has negative politics towards TOOS, I quit it (just to make sure I remain the Philosopher Marshall as long as I'm active here :D ). Quitting a case against TOOS also gives me +1.

Hope that helps you :)

Thanks.

Yeah, that's what I did too. I was Guardian Brother for two or three weeks.
