The Mysterious Affair At Styles - $100
A Scandal In Bohemia - $10000
Too much of a difference. Wonder how much the others are gonna drain me...!

Ooh, lovely.
You know actually, some detectives have made fun of the London Librarian for paying out $1000 to get a book back instead of just buying several new books, but I suppose Sleuth world book prices hadn't actually been taking into account, as it's at least 5x cheaper to pay that $1000 than buying a whole new book.

Aha! So Aife remembers incorrectly. The librarian is making a saving of at least 90%.

Yes, well, I'm yet to read one from start to finish. I started one, got annoyed and moved on to my Kindle since I had it there too. lol. But this is a fun thing to have in the game, nonetheless, and I keep finding new ones left around in caves, so that's nice.

Yeah.. nice as the books are they're certainly not in a good format to be read. I always thought it'd be nice to hide hidden messages and clues within the books if they were formatted a bit better. For example, discovering a cipher in game which requires you to decode it by using a certain book. Page number, line number, word number, that sort of thing.
