See if there is interest for this.

1. Each day I will post 10 questions, at random times of the day.
2. Each Quiz runs exactly 24 hours.
3. The first person that has all 10 questions right, wins. Or if no one has all questions right, the best one wins.
4. You can only post answers ONCE for the same quiz.
5. No cash involved. Just glory. :)

Although I concluded the quiz about Agatha Christie to make place for another one, I owe the answers to Secret Squirrel for his valiant efforts to keep the Daily Pub Quiz alive.

3. Max Mallowan
6. Death Comes as the End
7. Star Over Betlehem (although I must admit the question was a bit confusing, I forgot about "Hercule Poirot's Christmas")
8. Vera Rosakoff
and all other answers were correct.

Oooh, too bad I left early for the weekend, I grew up on fairy tales - hehe - on the other hand I would have gotten a big fat zero on the Agatha Christie quiz - hmm, maybe a summer project in there somewhere? :D

Oki, well not my turn but just to keep the quiz going while waiting for the scary hairy extravaganza. So apologies to Breitkat if she was just about to post one, and pre-apologies to all for my late realization that at least one question will just be a repetition of another one used very recently - oh, and please keep in mind (and bear with me) that the following questions have suffered a bit due to an attempt at thematic continuity ;)

Anyway, The Mythic Detective Quest:

1) What is the name of the spirit of divine retribution in Greek mythology?
2) And which detective was referred to as being that by a deceased "client"?
3) "Beware (/be wary) of Greeks bearing gifts" – what is this saying an allusion to?
4) Part of the saying is also the title of one of the episodes of a series with which police detective?
5) Which instrument does Pan play?
6) The violin is a favoured instrument of which detective?
7) How many labours did Hercules (Heracles) perform?
8) Which detective decided to solve the same amount of cases as a grand finale before retiring?
9) Who blinded himself after killing his father and marrying his mother?
10) Which police detective had a case where the killers turned out to be three children who had killed their father because they wouldn't have their mother's love and attention to be directed at anyone but them?
