2. Each Quiz runs exactly 24 hours.
3. The first person that has all 10 questions right, wins. Or if no one has all questions right, the best one wins.

(Looks down at the pleading expression on Missy's face while licking her ice cream cone.) 'No, Sweetie, you can't have any.' (Sees annoyed expression on tiger's face.) 'Sorry, Miss, blame Secret Squirrel. He's the one who says you need to go on a diet, not me.' (Watches as a certain grumpy, and now hungry, tiger, stalks haughtily off and goes Squirrel hunting.) (Aside to Squirrel--'Uh, do yourself a favor Squirrel, you've got a headstart. Grab those eggs of yours and RUN!!!')

1.Vanilla
2. Edison? lol
3. fudge or whipped cream
4. Italia!
5.
6. True and false--thinks way back to 4th grade california history, shells made great tiles for the roof of my mission. The family was eating pistachios for weeks! My hands were stained red. But this is a trick question, as the bag of pistacios i am eating right now is full of tan shells and the nut itself is green but not bright green more of a tan. ;0)
7.mayan or aztec. going with mayan.
8. hah, i always thought it was a vanilla bean off a vanilla tree, but looks like i;m wrong?
9.?
10.I know for a fact you can get it every year at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Gilroy California. Actually should be coming up relatively soon.

Bonus: Hippie relief fund. Supports hippies who are having flashbacks of acid trips gone awry. lol.

I've never tried unagi ice cream but i like green tea ice cream.

Poor Missy. You should put her on the ABS diet. I'm down 24 pounds in a month, even enjoy breyers low carb ice cream every now and again.

And here's the answers:

1. Vanilla is the most popular flavor, with about 30% of us choosing it. Chocolate is second with about 10%, and Butter Pecan and Strawberry tie for third with about 6% each.

2. Italo Marchiony came up with the ice cream cone in New York in 1903, and held the patent for it.

3. The most popular topping is chocoate syrup or sauce.

4. Spumoni originated in Naples, Italy.

5. As Bookem noted, Rocky Road was invented by William Dreyer to give people something to comfort them during their troubles during the Great Depression.

6. False. Pistachios are naturally bright green, but the shells are tan or white. The red color is a dye some have expected them to come with.

7. They Mayans and the Aztecs both used chocolate as a food source, and the beans as currency, so both are acceptable answers.

8. Vanilla is an orchid vine.

9. George Washington Carver invented hundreds of different ways of using various legumes, but is most famous for his use of peanuts. He never thought of using them with ice cream though.

10. As Jr. mentioned, the Gilroy Garlic Festival is world-famous as the only continuous source of garlic ice cream, and has been for the last 30 years. It's happening this year on July 28-30, so anyone in the San Francisco, California area might want to go check it out. (I'll take San Francisco too, since few people know specifically about Gilroy, and Frisco is the closest big city.)

BONUS -- Dave Matthews Band and Ben & Jerry's have pledged to help stop global warming through the sales of their 'Dave Matthews Band Magic Brownies' ice cream. You can get more info about their efforts at www.lick.globalwarming.org.

And with 10 of the 11 right, Bookem wins!! Congratulations!! (Hands Bookem a sash and a GIANT five-scoop waffle cone.)

(Looks at her watch.) Yep, Squirrel's train is late. Missy may be a butterball, but she's very light on her feet. I do hope he makes that train....Getting presents on my pink satin slippers gets so old after a while. ;-) (Hands Squirrel a banana split. Enjoy, Squirrel!!)
