It would be helpful to have the option to save a few loadouts under different names (e.g. Smart Gear, Interview Gear, etc.) on the detective page or, otherwise, in the agency's equipment locker or apartment's wardrobe. This way one wouldn't have to equip five different items and swap them on every case but simply change the saved loadout.

ditto! Back when I was in an agency, I had different stuff to wear to analyze evidence (a smart suit, as I am all Tough). Now that I'm out and on my own, I wish that I at least had the ability of that suit still

That's why you have to get an apartment if you are on your own. For the people at Wish, we've always set up a smart suit at every agency we've been helping at. For interviews, we just set you up for maximum tough or maximum charm in your uniform and let you have at it. If you need help assembling a uniform, let anyone at Wish on a Star know and we'll get you going. L
