1. The King is a Dog - INSPECTOR REX (It's a German series. Inspector Rex is a German Shepherd)
2. Michael's short to be using tools. MIKE HAMMER

ROCKIN THE STACHE. err yes they have moustaches.

ALL SPENT TIME ON BOTH SIDES OF THE LAW. Vidocq was a real person, but enough fictional characters were based on him I felt it was safe to include him.
14. Authors: Anna Katherine Green, GK Chesterton, Patricia Wentworth.
ALL HAD CHARACTERS IN THEIR DETECIVE SERIES WHOSE SIRNAMES WERE COLOURS.
Green =Violet Strange, Chesterton = Father Brown, Wentworth = Miss Silver
