This is a variation on a theme of Francesca's "Who am I?" thread. The rules are the same, only in this case it would probably be best if we asked one question at a time :).

I'll start:

Its history goes back more than one thousand years.

P.S. -- Stop looking for a city. Try looking for a landmark. ;-) B.

There we go...is it a "house", a lake, a chapel, some type of fortress...? We ARE googling, right?

Is it a statue? A memorial? A museum? A tourist attraction? A garden?

No, it's not Newschwanstein Castle. Wrong country for that one. (Been there, too. Different spring break though. ;-)

The mystery place is most famous for being a garden and a tourist attraction, though there is a castle also located there. So good going, both of you. Keep googlin'. ;-)

YYYYYYYYYAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a winner!! ;-D ;-D ;-D

Keukenhof Gardens is the largest tulip and flower garden in the world. They plant some 7,000,000 (that's million, folks ;-) bulbs there, mostly tulips.

My hints: For think Disney: Some of you may know that "wonderful" attraction with the most annoying song on record, It's A Small World?? When they were designing it, they looked at various landmarks around the world for inspiration. One of the places they used was Keukenhof. ;-)

Emily/Leddie has the website for them, or you could just go to Wikipedia, for more info. ;-)

So CONGRATULATIONS LEDDIE!!!! You got the one that stumped everyone else!! ;-D ;-D ;-D

Now, where shall we go next?? ;-)

Yes, we were really stumped :) I actually did see the Tulip Garden when I googled though, but would NEVER have thought of guessing it...

And, I like "It's a Small World"....mainly because it was one of the first songs I learned to play on the keyboard, without ever going to a class...that reminds me...
