I am happy to announce that the latest expansion to Sleuth: Noir, the Nemesis Hunt, is officially live as of 23:00 server time on September 9th, 2012. That is a full hour AHEAD of the scheduled update time, so first off let me start by thanking Ben for everything he has done to enable this expansion from day 1. He has been very open and supportive in this endeavor, and none of this could have been done without him. So thank you, Ben.

Now, on to the good stuff... how do nemesis hunts work?

If you have captured 3 or more Arch-Villains (10 starting October 1st), you are able to start a Nemesis Hunt. The first step is to head to Shangri-La and talk to the Prince.

...and that is the only step I will give you.

Good luck everyone! There is a special achievement on the line for the first person to capture a Nemesis, so get to it...

Constructive criticism is always good :) Summer, I think your posts were well thought out and make valid points.

I too hope the bugs get worked out soon. It is frustrating to have new content that doesn't work properly, when a lot of people have waited a very long time for something new to make the game more interesting.

That being said, I think the expansion is excellent :)

I can sympathise with Beef and others as well. I can't do the faction one because my points go down not up. And then it gets really frustrating when you have things affected that are not even apart of the Nemesis hunt. Missions I had before the expansion came out.

Still though, the Nemesis is a great addition, and thank you Serges for this expansion.

My dear Summer some of your words or phrases are not so constructive

For example you don’t need to be ironic. Phrases like the following…
1. Oh dear " I night have known that the vampires would descend.....
2. Sorry Eden, but your response doesn’t make any sense
3. As for this Linux thing: well if only its users can actually contribute to Linux then, of course, they’re not going to raise any big issue. It would be their own fault after all, lol.
…really ...have no reason to appear

You also have no reason to judge or criticize so phrases like those you used “ I can’t actually see any unpleasantness, apart from some allusions in your own post and some ‘naughtiness’ in VS’s” …are actually not helping in a constructive discussion

Finally posts that try to arise suspicions in the audience like the one you posted “@Eden. Your PM has been forwarded to the moderators” are ...

Anyway Serges is inactive so maybe this whole post is actually totally useless

Hey all,

Just a quick note to let everybody know that, yes, I am still alive, and yes I am making some progress on the Nemisis related bugs.

I don't have any new excuses for you. I've been analyzing error logs trying to get a full handle on the problems. I am hoping to have fixes for the accusation bugs and blocking mission bugs be the end of this week (ahem hourglass).

Again, please please save all your ire for me. Everybody else is completely uncompensated for the work they put into Sleuth and they're ultimately at the mercy of what the limited time I can devote.

Summer, I am certainly not criticizing or attempting to censor anyone for their opinions or frustrations, so please do not think ill of me for simply being a happy, positive person :) Not sure what the age comment was about - haha :) I'm 35 and work part time for a small non-profit and most of my paycheck is gone when I put it to monthly bills, etc. and my busy 9-year-old's extracurricular activities. But everyone budgets with their own priorities and needs in mind. This is my one little guilty pleasure, and it is much cheaper than most hobbies out there! LOL

Hey Hellen - no worries. I empathise totally. And 'Oldies' is just a term to describe veteran players - sometimes they have the title 'Old Shoe' on their detective pages too. Happy sleuthing :)
