I have advanced thread analysis and advanced hair analysis. I just had a case with a thread and a hair, but didn't get any info on either one! Aargghh!!! Like I said, so frustrating!!

Heh yep definitely frustrating! Unfortunately having the advanced skill only gives you a chance of getting the more detailed clue. That chance can only be effected by the amount of smarts you have. But it's still chance based like sweet talking or intimidation. Sometimes you'll have great stats and get lousy results, sometimes you'll have lousy stats and get great results lol but in general stacking any particular stat be it charm, tough or smarts Will increase your average chances of that stat working in your favor.

Early on a nice balance of smarts and either tough or charm can help quite a bit. Later when your at end game smarts is nice but not that important. I play with - smarts and just rely on bludgeoning my way through with charm. Who said set doesn't imitate life!

Hehe it's been a while since we had a good rant about cases on the boards. Jordan, I still get so frustrated when I don't get info on the evidence even if I am wearing full smart gear lol.

While we're at it can I complain about Surveillance NEVER working for me lately :)
