It is rumored that the ornate palace gates of Shangri-La have finally been opened to the public for the first time in known history. The Prince is making his debut into the public eye with a brilliant gala hosted by the Prince himself: an exclusive invitation-only event attended only by the most prominent and affluent people from countries all over the world.

Some commoners have been invited to this rare event--but not as guests. The Prince's most trusted advisor has particularly collected special operatives to patrol the event: the world's brightest, swiftest, and most skilled. You will be entrusted with making sure that everything goes off without a hitch. But there are those who would rather see the event go down in flames, along with the Prince himself.

Five minutes before the event is scheduled to start, a report of a most alarming nature reaches the operatives' ears. There has been a breach in the ranks. Some spies have infiltrated the group! But since they have never seen each other's faces, there is no way to tell whose allegiance is true. The team has been compromised, but there is still a chance to save the evening.

The operatives' job this evening is to make sure the Prince's gala goes off without a hitch. If he is pleased at the end of the night, they will be rewarded handsomely. Sources say he is forgiving of small mishaps, but when pushed too far...

The Prince's reputation is at stake. Will his gala be a phenomenal success, or will it succumb to the sabotage of the spies? Stay tuned to find out in this installment of The Resistance.

I just have to state for the record, that a lot of "Resistance" members are going to vote no unless they are on the team- which is a huge problem, guys. Only four people are allowed on this team. We can't possibly fit every Resistance member- if we luckily pegged the right ones- onto the team. I understand the frustration, but Resistance members should be working towards the common good of the team, trying to suss out allegiances and help us win another one.
In my personal opinion, voting against your companions because you don't have a spot on this one is more useful to the Spies than it is the Resistance. It also doesn't help your teammates figure out your allegiance at all. Which means you won't be selected for a successful team. Which means we keep doing this until the Spies just have it dropped in their laps.

I can't say for sure that we have selected the right course of action, ya'll, but we're selecting A course of action, rather than just sitting around throwing suspicious looks at each other. Please try to recognize that, please try to help us.

And please understand! I'm not calling anyone out or trying to be mean or rude or anything, I just kinda wish we could find some measure of unity or cooperativeness to push this-or- ANYTHING through. If you don't agree with the plans we're proposing, that's fine but please, please, PLEASE take initiative and offer your two cents, your proposals and your possible solutions so we can find something that works. Thanks. :)

I think the problem we have now is a lack of useful intel. We've reached the stage where mission proposals are being scuppered because people want to be on the team. If that is how it has to be, then the resistance have no chance. We can't all be in the team, and if we were, the spies would be too. This is giving the spies a good opportunity to sink into the background and beat the drum of "I don't like this team because I am not in it. I know I am resistance so there's a good chance there is a spy in there."

Right now, we have 2 FACTS: If Serges is a spy, so is Andiyana (a resistance member would never clear a spy) and if I am a spy, so is Vulkie (likewise). If people accuse Serges, they must accuse Andiyana, and if people accuse me, they must accuse Vulkie.

Everything else is subjective. But let me say this. If I were a spy, I got some interesting cards in the last draw. Giving Molly the STRONG LEADER card would have meant I may have got another proposal in if she used it, but giving KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON YOU to Nic meant that if I sabotaged the round, she would know. I would have been better off keeping that and handing her IN THE SPOTLIGHT, because she would almost certainly have used that on the new addition to the successful mission 1 team.

The other possibility is, Nic is also a spy, and I gave that card to her to keep it out of resistance hands, and so she could point fingers at an innocent victim if we got torpedoed. But why would I put 2 spies on a team? That has universally been described as a HORRIBLE play. I could have tried to shoot down the mission 1 team, as I could have feigned that I had no idea where Nic stood. But I voted YES to it. Why vote yes to a team in mission 1 with such a horrible setup? And more so, why did Nic?If someone can provide me with a solid reason why I and Nic would behave in this way if we were spies, please let me know. Otherwise, are you really justified in suggesting that I/we could be?

That being said, there is something fishy about this latest proposal. At least 3 spies voted for it. This oculd be because, logically, the proposal was perfectly sound, and by voting no they could have outed themselves. Or, they have a spy on the team. If they have a spy on the team, Its either Jason or someone from Mission 1. A mission one player should have sabotaged that first mission. Its Spy 101. So, if it was Molly, she's done a pretty shoody job so far. Plus, where's the leverage in waiting till mission 2 to sabotage? She would be outed anyway, but not necesarily so in mission 1. As we saw in the last game, it didn't work out for the spies then.

So that leaves Jason. His about face is rather scary. I can't imagine that the content of a single PM would mean the difference between a gibbering wreck who can't keep his mouth shut and a much more well thought out, reasoned player. I think forget the Oscar. This guys wants a whole truckload, a star on the walk of fame for each personality, and we should petition to rename Hollywood to Arendsville. Whilst it is easy to go for the "how can he be a spy" argument, I'm not so convinced now.

Since it is my turn again if this mission is turned down, I would probably drop Jason and bring someone else in. Due to her outspoken-ness at about every proposal, and (I think) not voting YES to a single one, I would bring in Biggie. And, if she is resistance as she declares, she'll have no problem going IN THE SPOTLIGHT. If she is a spy, everyone will know. If its me, Nic or Molly, that person will have played badly, and being outed would probably be for the best.

Arendsville?

Well let me tell you Jonny if the spies with this game because we're all busy voting no to the proposals then let me tell you right here and now, The Mayor of Arendsville, Jason himself would be saying "I TOLD YOU SO!" Cause im not a spy. Plain and simple, believe what you want but im telling you this mission will seduced. And if it didn't, i wouldn't be the one sabotaging.

And im sorry i dont trust biggie, i have no proof of why i should yet. And if you vote no to this proposal Adam ill distrust you too. *IF* this team is sabotaged we learn a lot. If not its a 2-o lead for resistance. Only person voting no is a spy not wanting to be behind by 2. I definitely dont trust Jay/Serges or Andi. I say we see how this proposal works out. If it gets voted down that's 3 guys. And the spies only need 5 to win automatically. I'm with Molly lets get a team through already, the spies are voting cleverly.

Between all the mountains of text, here's what I'm seeing:

Nicnic, Molly, and Jason are attempting to force THIS specific mission through, effectively calling into question the loyalty of ANYONE who doesn't agree with "them".

I won't tell you what that means, but I know what that says to me.

I applaud what a good spy you make Serges. Really you're putting biggies powers of persuasion to shame here. :)

Adam, I'm not sure what you are saying.... but if Jason Arends is a spy I am willing to put yet another embarrassing thing in my bio at your leisure. That's how confident I am about it.

The team of me, you, Molly, and Jason needs to be voted through. As it did two turns ago.
