Once again, turmoil is brewing in the underground crime world of New York. The city is slowly being taken over by La Cosa Nostra, the New York underground mafia. They are recruiting members at record numbers and they can be seen in every night club and bar scaring away customers. And now Joseph Hollis, the High Philosopher of the Order of Socrates, and mayor of New York, has learned of a secret plan by his rival faction, La Cosa Nostra, to go on a crime spree and make off with money, valuables, and ultimate control of various establishments in New York.

Mr. Hollis, being not only concerned with the livelihoods of the patrons of his city, but also with his rival faction gaining too much power, has decided to put together a team of trusted Order of Socrates resistance operatives to foil the plans of La Cosa Nostra. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of attrition lately, and certain people have been going to the highest bidder to offer their services as a spy working from within the Order of Socrates. Joseph is aware of this and he's put together the best possible team he can think of, but unwittingly will be inviting some spies for La Cosa Nostra to his team of operatives.

As long as the loyal Order of Socrates operatives can figure out whom amongst them is untrustworthy, their mission should be a success. But if they trust the wrong people, La Cosa Nostra will succeed and cause severe damage to the New York economy, while gaining enough power to take over the city.

Will the mayor and his team be able to restore order to New York? Or will the underground mafia, take over the city's resources? That's for you to decide in this version of The Resistance: Order of Socrates Restores Order

I suggested that method because I KNOW Helen is a spy. So, she's in a catch-22. She can agree with it to appear clean, which guarantees power in the Resistance hands, or she can go against it, which then she has to be able to explain away, since let's face it, it's a Resistance-friendly strategy.

..and Marc, what's your issue with me suggesting that she not give cards to Eden or me again? You're afraid because you know if she does it this way, a resistance member will take your NO CONFIDENCE away. And then, all the power is in the hands of the Resistance, rather than the spies who could use STRONG LEADER and NO CONFIDENCE to win the game. Believe me, I've seen it happen.

Are we voting? All of this debate has me lost on where we are in the game. *sigh*

Hey look, Jason's lost again.
We've also pretty clearly established (whether you believe my allegiance or not) that Jason is either a Spy, or a REALLY REALLY bad Resistance player.
Putting the person who accused you of being a spy on your own mission team...

He's stupid like a fox, guys.

Due to some issues at home, Ms Helen will be able to post her decisions tonight. She sends her apologies. She will post her actions tomorrow (tomorrow in UK time).

Looking back:
Marc, Jason, and Molly voted "yes" on Jason's proposed team, which was guaranteed to have at least 1 spy on it.

Jason? Makes sense, he proposed it.
Molly immediately claimed she hadn't realized that we had figured out there was a spy on the team. I give her benefit of the doubt here, since I know for fact she's resistance.
Marc never, as far as I can see, explained why he'd vote to approve a mission that was destined to fail. So, you can believe that he and biggie are clean, despite the fact that Jason, a KNOWN spy, gave her a power, and that she was on a team with at least 2 spies on it, or you can believe the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Molly, I don't expect you to believe me. Just believe that you NEED to be on a mission team, and vote knowing that. I'll forgive you afterwards, I promise.

Oh, and one more thing...

Biggie used her "Strong Leader" power in a situation where she didn't really need to. Jason gave it to her, his mission was rejected. Cekuray would have been next, then her. She was GOING to have a shot at being leader, but she wanted to make sure Cekuray (who she knew was resistance) wouldnt put a clean mission 3 up, forcing her to suggest a super-dirty mission 4.

All the spies have given themselves away, in more than one way in this game.

You give me much credit sir, much that i am not due. So Mr. Trebek i'll take "REALLY REALLY bad resistance player" for $4,000. :)
